You will manage technical outputs, mentor junior staff, directly engage with Clients, and take responsibility for the successful delivery of high-quality outputs. Key responsibilities and requirements:<ul><li>Lead the design and delivery of general traffic engineering, Active Travel, public transport priority and urban realm schemes.</li><li>Familiarity with relevant design standards including TSRGD, Manual for Streets, DMRB, and the Traffic Signs Manual.</li><li>Prepare and review technical outputs including drawings, reports, and specifications.</li><li>Ensure all work meets project briefs, design standards, and regulatory requirements.</li><li>Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across AECOM and external stakeholders.</li><li>Delegate and coordinate tasks for engineers, graduates and technicians, supporting their development.</li><li>Manage project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.</li><li>Champion Health &amp; Safety best practices, including CDM responsibilities.</li><li>Report regularly to the Principal Engineer or Project Manager on progress and risks</li><li>Proven experience in scoping, preliminary, and detailed design of highway and traffic engineering schemes.</li><li>Strong knowledge of design elements such as drainage, junctions, and carriageway improvements with supporting proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, support design packages such as KeyLINES, KeySIGN, swept path analysis (Autodesk vehicle tracking software</li></ul> Come grow with usLet's not forget about the perks at AECOM.
