Join us as a Controls Engineer II in Lake Orion, MI, as we work together to bring innovative automation solutions to life.  Location Type: This role is onsite at our Lake Orion, MI facility.As a Robotics Process Engineer II, you will work with some of the most talented engineers in the automation industry.  This role will enable you to perfect your experience while integrating some of the most state of the art robotics &amp; technology available.  The innovative solutions we work on offer diverse experiences that will strengthen your skills and challenge your abilities. What You’ll Do:  <ul><li>Develop simulations using one or more platforms for internal and external process validation</li><li>Apply cycle time improvement strategies to optimize robotic applications</li><li>Confirm robot models and develop offline programs (OLPs)</li><li>Teach Tool Center Points (TCPs), Frames, and Loads</li><li>Configure robot I/O, including communication protocols</li><li>Set parameters for application-specific equipment</li><li>Travel up to 35–50% to customer sites and other JR locations</li><li>Train and mentor 1–2 team members as directed</li></ul>Note: This list of responsibilities is not inclusive; however, it is intended to be a guideline for activities.  What You’ll Bring: <ul><li>Bachelor's degree in Engineering Technology, Mechatronics, or related field OR Associate's degree with 2+ years of related experience  </li><li>Minimum of 2 years of related experience</li></ul>Skills You’ll Have:  <ul><li>Experience with one or more robot applications: Material Handling, Dispense (Urethane, Sealer, Adhesive, Paint), Welding (Spot, Arc, Laser) </li><li>Familiarity with robot peripheral devices, Tool Center Points, offline programming software, external axes, and user frames</li></ul>Disclaimer: JR Automation requires candidates to successfully complete a 10-panel drug screen, physical examination, and background check.Company Overview:  At JR Automation, A Hitachi Group Company, we discover potential, reimagine limits, and advance industry.
