This role will directly input data to NP&amp;R. The role is responsible for ensuring timely briefings are provided to the ED3 Finance Lead and Networks Business Partner.The role is accountable for the development of workstream milestone plans, reporting and governance, stakeholder engagement and presentations into wider price control strategy. Additionally, the role is responsible for the financial modelling and governance of P&amp;O projects related to Networks Personnel Costs articulating financial risk, including preparing financial analysis, identifying risks and issues and providing expertise to stakeholders across the function.What you'll be doing <ul><li>Responsible for financial forecasting of c£350m annually, up to 10 years out.</li><li>Proactively manage relationships within own area, wider P&amp;O, Networks, CEO Office, IBE colleagues and UK Control.</li><li>Presenting complex and sometimes technical information to both financial and non-financial colleagues to ensure information is clearly understood.</li><li>Use technical accounting knowledge and knowledge of P&amp;O policy to advise and influence while developing business cases.</li><li>While no direct people responsibility, may require input from Performance &amp; Governance team therefore ability to positively influence required.</li></ul>What you'll bring <ul><li>Qualified accountant with post qualifying experience or substantial relevant experience</li><li>Experience in long term forecasting and development of business plans reporting on future costings and headcount.</li><li>High level of commercial awareness</li><li>Strong influencing and interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels with experience in explaining complex results concisely to ensure that the stakeholders fully understand performance.</li><li>Pro-active person who anticipates issues and problems and puts in place effective strategies to manage these.</li><li>Confidence, ability and presence to constructively challenge at all levels.</li><li>Ability to combine professional and commercial expertise and co-ordinate the skills of others to achieve successful results.</li><li>Delivery focus and high level of resilience to deal with the continually changing demands and time-pressures of the role.</li><li>Knowledge of SAP financial system.</li></ul>Minimum Criteria <ul><li>Proven experience in a financial planning role.</li><li>Qualified accountant or relevant experience as a Senior Analyst</li><li>High level of commercial awareness with a good understanding of SPW markets and the relationships across the SPW group.</li><li>Confidence, ability and presence to constructively challenge at all levels.</li><li>Proven interpersonal skills to manage the inter-related activities impacting their remit – both within and out with the Control teams.</li><li>Proficient use of Microsoft Office packages and SAP Financials.</li></ul>What’s in it for you As well as a competitive salary which is reviewed annually, you can also enjoy a number of other benefits.
