This position requires collaboration with Manufacturing Operations, Logistics, Product Engineering, Quality, and New Product Introduction (NPI) to ensure smooth and efficient production processes, supporting critical production metrics such as Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and other key performance indicators (KPIs).</p><p>With 2+ years of experience, you will have the opportunity to work on technically challenging projects, contribute to process improvements, and support the implementation of automation systems. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to solve complex problems and implement solutions with increasing independence while still working under the guidance of senior engineers.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Lead or support the design, development, and validation of manufacturing equipment for Powertrain assembly, focusing on process optimization and equipment performance.</li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and refine manufacturing processes, with a focus on improving material flow, tooling, automation integration, and ergonomics.</li><li>Work with Product Engineering to ensure manufacturability of designs while addressing cost, quality, and throughput requirements.</li><li>Play an active role in Powertrain line launches, ensuring equipment readiness, process stability, and production alignment to OEE and KPI targets.</li><li>Participate in and lead problem-solving initiatives using methodologies such as 8D, Six Sigma, or root cause analysis, with a focus on reducing process variation and improving line performance.</li><li>Contribute to continuous improvement efforts aimed at increasing efficiency, reducing costs, and enhancing product quality.</li><li>Implement and optimize control systems, including torque tools and dispensing systems, to ensure process reliability and consistency.</li><li>Maintain and update documentation such as work instructions, control plans, and PFMEA, ensuring alignment with manufacturing standards and compliance requirements.</li><li>Stay current on industry trends and technological advancements to enhance manufacturing processes and provide input for innovative solutions.</li></ul><p><strong>Key Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.</li><li>Minimum of 2 to 4 years of experience in Manufacturing or Process Engineering, preferably within Powertrain or electric vehicle (EV) systems.</li><li>Strong knowledge of manufacturing technologies, including torque tools, dispensing systems, automation, and MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) concepts.</li><li>Experience with wire bonders and related equipment is a plus.</li><li>Demonstrated experience supporting process improvements, driving OEE enhancements, and meeting key manufacturing KPIs in a high-volume production environment.</li><li>Proficiency with 3D modeling software (AutoCAD, Catia, Delmia), with the ability to apply these tools to simulate and optimize manufacturing layouts and processes.</li><li>Strong problem-solving skills, with experience applying Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or root cause analysis methodologies.</li><li>Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across departments and contribute to cross-functional teams.</li><li>Organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.</li></ul><p> </p><div><div><p><strong>Additional Compensation and Benefits</strong>: Lucid offers a wide range of competitive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, vacation, and 401k.
