Working with the IT Network and Infrastructure teams, this position acts as an on-site resource to troubleshoot and deploy necessary systems. While utilizing a service desk ticketing system, the role also involves long-term projects related to site development and end-user systems.</p><h2>Responsibilities</h2><p>Infrastructure (75% Focus)</p><ul> <li>Maintain, troubleshoot, and provide support for computer systems, network devices, servers, and conference equipment.</li> <li>Diagnose and resolve hardware and software errors by running diagnostics and documenting solutions.</li> <li>Create documentation for planning and implementing infrastructure improvements.</li> <li>Perform scheduled maintenance for the sites, network stack, and server rooms.</li> <li>Administer, deploy, and manage vendors for Zoom rooms.</li> <li>Participate in the design and deployment of network operations, providing on-site configuration and troubleshooting.</li> <li>Serve as the primary point of contact for ISP, vendor, software, and office support for Joby's CA or NY sites.</li></ul><p>OS Management (10% Focus)</p><ul> <li>Install and upgrade computer components and software as needed.</li> <li>Lead support for desktops, laptops, and test systems to ensure problems are resolved promptly with limited disruptions.</li> <li>Operate and manage multi-OS device management systems (MDM) like JAMF and Intune to deploy security updates, OS updates, and software.</li> <li>Drive the encryption of all workstations and maintain inventory records.</li></ul><p>Service Desk Ticketing (5% Focus)</p><ul> <li>Route tickets to IT Infrastructure or Network teams for higher-tier support.</li> <li>Complete site-specific requests that require on-premise support.</li> <li>Focus on software licensing and auditing users to manage costs.</li></ul><p><strong> </strong>Administration (10% Focus)</p><ul> <li>Manage local IT hardware and software inventory.</li> <li>Prepare accounts and computers for new hires and deliver onboarding materials.</li> <li>Administer enterprise applications for email, messaging, document storage, and conferencing.</li> <li>Enforce zero-trust and role-based permission policies for all users.</li> <li>Maintain SOX controls and permissions for in-scope applications.</li></ul><h2>Required</h2><ul> <li>Associate or bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent experience.</li> <li>3-5 years of experience in IT systems administration.</li> <li>Working knowledge of servers, iLO, and UPS battery management.</li> <li>Knowledge of server systems, software/hardware deployment tools, and networking protocols.</li> <li>Familiarity with scripting languages and automation tools.</li> <li>A proven record of developing and implementing IT strategies.</li> <li>Strong knowledge of IT operations best practices, including security, storage, data protection, and disaster recovery protocols.</li> <li>Familiarity with security protocols as designated by regulators and auditors.</li> <li>Effective verbal and written communication skills suitable for different audiences.</li></ul><h2>Desired</h2><ul> <li>Jira Service Desk, Salesforce, and/or Zendesk ticket systems.</li> <li>Intune, JAMF, Mosyle, or any MDM platforms.</li> <li>Juniper or Meraki routing and switching.</li> <li>Okta, Entra, and SAML SSO implementations</li> <li>Expected to cover EST business hours</li></ul>Compensation at Joby is a combination of base pay and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs). The target base pay for this position is $108,900- $172,000 per year salary.
