We are the rebellious hero.   Summary: The Quality Manager is responsible for leading all aspects of quality at the manufacturing facility including the implementation and the execution of inspection, testing and evaluation methods to ensure that the product adheres to the customers requirements.    Roles and Responsibilities: <ul><li>Build a strong team through coaching, mentoring, specific training, and performance evaluations. </li></ul><ul><li>Support the development of quality goals/performance metrics and benchmarks. </li></ul><ul><li>Identify process enhancement opportunities within the operations manufacturing site. </li></ul><ul><li>Conduct regular internal process audits, GEMBA walks and assessments. </li></ul><ul><li>Proactively identify and mitigate potential quality risk. </li></ul><ul><li>Understand customers’ requirements and be able to translate them to develop an effective quality control process. </li></ul><ul><li>Lead and manage the Nonconforming product Process and make sure all quality processes are clearly defined and implemented. </li></ul><ul><li>Participate as the quality representative for the Internal Material Review Board process. </li></ul><ul><li>Manage all operations that affect quality. </li></ul><ul><li>Lead and guide quality supervisor &amp; inspectors. </li></ul><ul><li>Assure the reliability and consistency of production by checking processes and final output. </li></ul><ul><li>Report all quality issues to the Quality Director and adhere to HR and Quality Directors policies and Company procedures. </li></ul><ul><li>Develop and review current quality standards and policies for accuracy and improvement. </li></ul><ul><li>Manage records of quality reports, statistical quality reviews and relevant documentation.   </li></ul><ul><li>Establish and monitor relevant metrics (KPIs) like COPQ and FPY and implement actions to improve quality performance, effectiveness, and customer satisfaction. </li></ul><ul><li>Take the lead in performing root cause analysis on customer returns and field failures. </li></ul><ul><li>Create, review and update quality procedures and work instructions. </li></ul><ul><li>Mentor/Supervise direct reports, coordinates, and checks work activities, when applicable. </li></ul><ul><li>Support customer visits and audits and prepare site for audit readiness. </li></ul><ul><li>Recommends, leads, and implements projects such as operational process controls/process development. </li></ul><ul><li>Responsible for conducting quality team meetings, preparation of metrics and materials. </li></ul><ul><li>Pro-actively look for opportunities for improvements and develop new efficient procedures. </li></ul><ul><li>Provide training for quality system requirements and implementation. </li></ul><ul><li>Responsible for calibration program for all inspection and test equipement</li></ul>Qualifications  <ul><li>Bachelor’s degree required, engineering major preferred. </li></ul><ul><li>Proven leadership in Quality Assurance role.  </li></ul><ul><li>Minimum 10 years’ relevant work experience </li></ul><ul><li>Experience managing a large team of non-exempt inspectors. </li></ul><ul><li>Direct Manufacturing experience </li></ul><ul><li>Experience with APQP methodologies </li></ul><ul><li>A keen eye for detail and a result driven approach. </li></ul><ul><li>Excellent team management, leadership, and organizational skills </li></ul><ul><li>Experience using Microsoft office, excel, power point. </li></ul><ul><li>Six Sigma Green or Black Belt a Plus </li></ul><ul><li>Lead ISO 9001:2015 Auditor Certification a Plus. </li></ul><ul><li>Must be highly organized, possess strong attention to detail. </li></ul><ul><li>Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.  Detailed-oriented with a commitment to quality. </li></ul><ul><li>Competent in 8D problem solving and multitasking, self-motivated. </li></ul><ul><li>5s implementation experience a plus. </li></ul><ul><li>Follow and instill good Safety Practices in accordance with Shoals’ objectives     </li></ul> CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES PREFERRED: <ul><li>Certification in Six Sigma, SPC and ISO 9001:2015 is preferred.  </li></ul><ul><li>Preferred Certification in ASQ as a Certified Quality Manager or Certified Quality Engineer or  Certified Reliability Engineer.  </li></ul> Shoals Technologies Group, LLC provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.
