You will be expected to maintain water chemistry, perform daily operational tasks, and perform preventative maintenance as required.<ul><li>Work directly with the SMR, ASU and NH3 loop operations site supervisors as well as the shift team lead, pipeline department, and Customer Service Center (CSC) to monitor the operation of the facility, as well as the site utilities.</li><li>Adhere to operating, communication and decision-making protocols to address real time supply / demand balance changes.</li><li>Support operation priorities daily for the ASU, SMR and NH3 plants based on overall system status, request rate, maintenance activities etc.</li><li>Call out process, safety, or other issues to the appropriate parties per protocol.</li><li>Follow the requirements outlined in the operator progression guide.</li><li>Ensure training for oneself is up to date, including but not limited to, worker safety policies, facility processes, operating procedures, troubleshooting and operational discipline.</li><li>Understand, support, and implement as required the Emergency Response Plan for both site and areas where the APCI operated pipelines run.</li><li>Participate in emergency drills within the facility to maintain and reinforce response skills and knowledge of the site emergency response plan.</li><li>Assist in the investigation of injuries, environmental excursions or releases, cost of non-conformance and Near-Miss incidents.</li><li>Know, comply, and enforce safe work procedures and operational discipline practices to the operations team and contractors.</li><li>Detailed understanding of all facility Environmental Permits and the ability to escalate an environmental incident.</li><li>Act as the HAZOP Technician.</li><li>Have a detailed understanding of facility interactions and transitions between all units during upsets.</li><li>Assist in the implementation of Best Practices.</li><li>Comply with the sites internal programs including the MAS Team, Zero Leak Program, IRR Program, Hearing Conservation Program, Hazwoper and Respirator Program.</li><li>Maintain an error-free execution. Pay very close attention to details and perform work to the highest possible standard. Apply a Continuous Improvement philosophy to daily work.</li><li>Provide technical and hands-on support as required during shutdowns.</li><li>Provide troubleshooting expertise for the production units.</li><li>Demonstrate competency with Safety Work Permits and Hot Work Safety Permits.</li><li>Capable of leading the Mobile Ammonia Suppression Team to manage a leak.</li></ul><h2>Physical Requirements:</h2><ul><li>Must be able to climb ladders and steps and lift a minimum of 50 lbs.</li><li>Elevated work required.</li><li>Ability to enter confined spaces.</li><li>Must be able to wear self-contained and air purifying respiratory protection.</li><li>Must be clean-shaven.</li><li>Must be willing to work at a tobacco-free facility.</li><li>Must pass an OSHA approved ERT Physical.</li></ul><h2>Minimum Hiring Requirements:</h2><ul><li>High School Diploma or GED.</li><li>Valid US driver’s license.</li><li>Certificate in process technology or maintenance field (preferred but not required).</li><li>Minimum 3-5 years of work experience in manufacturing, production, processing, or chemicals. Petrochemical environment preferred but not required.</li><li>Previous pipeline controller experience (preferred but not required).</li><li>Availability and willingness to work in a 12-hr shift rotation to include nights, weekends, and holidays, be on-call 24/7 and work overtime.</li></ul><h2>Working Conditions:</h2><ul><li>This is a full-time, direct hire, hourly position based on-site in an industrial plant facility in Texas City, TX.</li><li>No travel requirements.</li><li>Shifts are rotating 12 hrs shifts (4 4 6) and will overlap with nights, weekends, and holidays.</li><li>24/7 on-call requirement.</li><li>Must be willing to work overtime as needed.
