An Associate Recruiting Specialist will have the necessary knowledge and experience to perform all the administrative duties of the Recruiting Coordinator and will also be able to successfully recruit and hire for internal job openings as well as certain designated external positions which recruit and hire primarily entry level candidates. The successful applicant will be responsible for all phases of the hiring process and for ensuring satisfaction with hiring managers, candidates, new hires and other stakeholders by providing responsive, high quality, professional service and support in the administrative and recruiting functions.Responsibilities<ul><li>Build and maintain effective partnerships with other Recruiters and Hiring Managers to create a strategic recruiting plan to attract top industry talent with focus</li><li>Build candidate database through effective sourcing and recruiting</li><li>Provide consultation to hiring managers and other stakeholders in alignment with applicable federal and state employment laws and regulations as well as departmental processes</li><li>Conduct intake sessions with hiring managers for the creation of job requisitions</li><li>Create and complete requisitions in Workday in alignment with internal processes</li><li>Source candidates for jobs through internal and external tools and resources, social media, job boards, etc.</li><li>Pre-screen applicants</li><li>Extend verbal offers to candidates and negotiate, as needed</li><li>Work effectively with assigned Recruiting Coordinator to ensure that all steps within the hiring and onboarding processes are completed accurately and timely</li></ul>Basic/Required Qualifications<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree</li><li>In lieu of bachelor’s degree listed above, High School/GED AND four (4) or more years of related work experience</li></ul><h2></h2>Additional Preferred Qualifications<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in an HR related field</li><li>Five plus years of full cycle recruiting experience </li><li>Must be able to manage multiple sources of data and information in a fast-paced environment. </li><li>Experience managing requisitions within Workday Applicant Tracking System</li><li>High level user of Microsoft Office Products (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)</li><li>Must be very professional and able to represent the Duke Energy Corporation in a professional manner.</li><li>Knowledge &amp; experience following Duke Energy hiring policies and practices.</li><li>Thorough understanding of federal and state employment laws and regulations</li><li>Two (2) or more years related human resources experience</li><li>Excellent oral, written communications and presentation skills.</li><li>Experience networking and proactively recruiting various skill sets</li><li>Experience gathering detailed business requirements from customers</li><li>Experience with LinkedIn Recruiter and/or Candidate Relationship Management tools</li><li>Effective planning and problem-solving skills</li><li>Ability to work independently with little supervision as well as in a team setting/collaborative environment</li><li>Ability to effectively prioritize multiple assignments and display strong organizational skills</li></ul>Working Conditions<ul><li>Performs work in a general office environment</li><li>May be required to travel to other locations based on business needs</li><li>Hybrid Mobility Classification – Work will be performed from both remote and onsite locations after the onboarding period.
