You will ensure reliable, safe, quality, and delivery of the Kaleidos demonstration unit that will test in 2026 at the Idaho National Lab and be instrumental to testing the first new reactor design in over 50 years.Responsibilities and Duties:<ul><li>Responsible for the manufacturing and inspection process for critical components and assemblies within the Kaleidos microreactor.</li><li>Partner with design engineers to develop innovative production methods for complex mechanisms and structures.</li><li>Develop, qualify, and refine manufacturing processes to meet all design and business requirements including safety, quality, efficiency, and delivery.</li><li>Develop and execute manufacturing specifications and fabrication instructions.</li><li>Manage manufacturing bill-of-materials (mBOM) for components and assemblies.</li><li>Identify and develop appropriate suppliers for component sourcing and fabrication.</li><li>Identify, plan, and execute capital equipment, machine, and layout upgrades to meet evolving production requirements.</li><li>Drive initiatives for continuous improvement in manufacturing processes and product quality.</li></ul>Required Skills and Qualifications:<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in mechanical, manufacturing, or other related engineering discipline.</li><li>4+ years of experience with manufacturing of mechanical products in a production environment, preferably in high-tech or energy sectors.</li></ul>Desired Skills and Qualifications:<ul><li>Master’s degree from an accredited institution in mechanical, manufacturing, or other related engineering discipline.</li><li>Experience with machining and ancillary operations such as milling, turning, grinding, EDM of materials.</li><li>Experience with interpreting engineering drawings and models, Geometric Dimensioning &amp; Tolerancing (GD&amp;T).</li><li>Experience with inspection systems including manual gauges and coordinate-measuring machine (CMM).</li><li>Experience with non-destructive testing/non-destructive evaluation (e.g. fluorescent penetrant inspection, radiography, eddy current).</li><li>Experience with custom machine design; electromechanical systems, motors, actuators, linear rails, bearings, lifting/rigging, etc.</li><li>Experience with design of multi-component assemblies in CAD (NX or similar).</li><li>Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.</li><li>Self-motivated with strong organizational, written, and oral communication skills.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with design and operations teams.</li></ul> Additional Requirements<ul><li>Must be willing to work extended hours and weekends as necessary to accomplish our mission.</li><li>Must work 100% onsite at El Segundo HQ.</li></ul><div>Total Compensation and BenefitsRadiant's new hire compensation package includes base salary, substantial equity grants, and comprehensive benefits.
