New Energy Nexus operates programs in the US, China, India, Southeast Asia, and East Africa.About the RoleThe candidate will support the efforts of the Program team at The Clean Fight across one or more programs, which may include the <a href="https://thecleanfight.com/companies/energy-storage-deployment">Energy Storage Deployment Accelerator</a>, <a href="https://thecleanfight.com/companies/affordable-housing">Affordable Housing Deployment Accelerator</a>, <a href="https://thecleanfight.com/programs/deployment-grant-fund">Deployment Grant Fund</a>, and <a href="https://edc.nyc/press-release/nycedc-selects-four-operators-international-landing-pad-network-attract-growth-stage-companies">International Landing Pad</a>.The candidate will gain exposure to the inner workings of the organization and also take part in a variety of team meetings and strategic brainstorms. This opportunity allows the candidate to join a small team of experienced professionals who are on a mission to decarbonize New York and beyond, and create a healthier, more abundant future for all through accelerating adoption of the most promising climate solutions. Applicants can expect to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where they will develop professional skills in communication, research, writing, and project management.The team has a hybrid working environment with an office near Rockefeller Center in midtown Manhattan. In-person work expectations are flexible and will be arranged with selected interns.RequirementsResponsibilities:<ul><li>Assist with the day-to-day management of The Clean Fight programs, liaising with companies, making strategic decisions, and working with our partners</li><li>Engage in outreach efforts for The Clean Fight program(s), including market research, communication planning, and targeted outreach to potential cohort companies, customers, or partners </li><li>Support planning and execution of virtual and in-person events, including an Affordable Housing Summit (November 18th and 19th) and an Energy Storage Summit </li></ul> An ideal candidate will have:<ul><li>A passion for clean energy, sustainability, and innovation</li><li>An execution-focus with a sense of urgency, solutions orientation and resourcefulness in a lean, all-hands-on-deck work environment</li><li>Excellent communication skills; written, verbal and interpersonal </li><li>Advanced research and investigative skills</li><li>Demonstrated success working independently and in team environments</li><li>Good time-management skills and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously</li></ul>Nice to have:<ul><li>Experience or background knowledge in building decarbonization and/or energy storage </li><li>Experience with research, outreach, and CRM tools such as <a href="http://hunter.io">Hunter.io</a> or Hubspot </li><li>Experience with database and file management</li><li>Experience with event planning, management, and execution</li></ul>Commitment:<ul><li>8-12  weeks; Start Date: ASAP (mid-late October) </li><ul><li>We are also open to exploring a spring semester internship for the right candidate.
