Our dedicated team is committed to making solar energy accessible and affordable for homeowners across the country.</p><p>We are looking for an Accounting Clerk to manage all financial transactions, from fixed payments and variable expenses to bank deposits and budgets. Accountant responsibilities include auditing financial documents and procedures, reconciling bank statements and calculating tax payments and returns. To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience with bookkeeping and a flair for spotting numerical mistakes</p><p><strong>Duties/Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Perform daily data entry of accounting transactions</li><li>Assist with processing accounts payable and receivable</li><li>Prepare and reconcile simple reports, spreadsheets, and statements</li><li>Maintain accurate records of invoices, receipts, and payments</li><li>Support monthly and quarterly closings by providing documentation and reconciliations</li><li>Assist in verifying the accuracy of financial documents and resolving routine discrepancies</li><li>File and organize accounting records for easy retrieval</li><li>Maintain confidentiality of financial information</li><li>Perform general administrative tasks related to accounting</li><li>Carry out other clerical duties as assigned</li></ul><p><strong>Required Skills/Abilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Familiarity with basic accounting principles and procedures</li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets (basic formulas and organization)</li><li>Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks or similar) preferred</li><li>Strong attention to detail and accuracy</li><li>Good organizational and time management skills</li><li>Ability to work well in a team and follow instructions</li></ul><p><strong>Education and Experience:</strong></p><ul><li>High school diploma required; coursework or degree in Accounting or related field preferred</li><li>Prior experience in bookkeeping or clerical accounting support is a plus</li></ul><p><strong>Working Conditions:</strong></p><ul><li>Fast-paced, open floor office environment with significant computer and phone usage. Utilization of complex systems. Speed and accuracy are essential to the successful completion of tasks.</li><li>Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. The noise level in the work environment is typical of that of an office.
