The position is based in Toronto, Ontario, CA.<ul><li>Accountabilities</li><li>5 up to 10 years of Engineering and Commissioning expertise.</li><li>Knowledge of the Design and Development processes, related procedures and instructions, KPIs</li><li>Knowledge of the system, subsystems of a transportation system and related interactions, system architecture</li><li>Knowledge of the basic technical concepts and the main PS&amp;TP architecture and equipment</li><li>Knowledge of the basic technical concepts and the main Contact Line architecture and equipment</li><li>Knowledge of the principles of the electrical system design</li><li>Knowledge of the process of checking that Traction Power and Power Supply meets specifications and that it fulfills its intended purposes/ requirements, about factory and on-site testing</li><li>Knowledge of the process of checking that electrical system meets specifications and that it fulfills its intended purposes/ requirements, about factory and on-site testing</li><li>Knowledge of commissioning rules and standards also with reference to the specific project and country in order to adhere to them and induct other people involved on tests activities properly</li><li>Knowledge of the railway environment and the related risks and rules and adhere to them in planning and executing commissioning activities.</li><li>Ensure the interface with the other relevant technologies</li><li>Ensure test planning and coordination of operational activities on site according to schedule</li><li>Ensure the Verification activities on Power Supply &amp; Traction Power documents, according to the V&amp;V Plan</li><li>Ensure the execution of the test and issuing the test report and non-compliances according to quality procedures and proposing remedy actions</li><li>Ensure the identification of the contractual requirements about PS&amp;TP design.</li><li>Contribute to the Contact line standardization across different projects.</li><li>% completion of activity budget with respect to the planned one in the project</li><li>% reduction of design releases issued with respect to previous projects</li></ul>Preferred profile is a candidate experienced in the field of the traction power systems and Contact Line systems or as alternative of the electrical systems.Education / Qualifications&gt; Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Electronic, or Computer Engineering or Information Technology or Equivalent technical experience.&gt; Ontario P.Eng highly desirable.&gt; Clear Criminal Background CheckBenefitsHitachi Rail employees enjoy a comprehensive benefits package including Competitive Pay, Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance, Short &amp; Long Term Disability, Life &amp; Accident Insurance, a Retirement Savings Plan, and Paid Vacation.
