Our team, Fleet connectivity, builds the infrastructure to connect and update Nuro’s fleets. Our engineers work on the tech stack across the cloud and robots to build reliable, efficient systems for network connectivity, telemetry, and software updates, which is critical to the advancement and scale up of our AV vision.About the Work <ul><li>Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve software for our mission critical systems like release infrastructure and OTA updates.</li><li>Manage individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables, internally and cross team.</li><li>Write well-designed, testable code that aligns with our code quality standards.</li><li>Track and improve performance of our release system, defining and tracking KPIs, and proposing and implementing optimizations to improve the cost, times, and space of builds.</li><li>Develop test and validation programs to ensure the robustness of system architecture and data flows.</li><li>Improve documentation and participate in on-call rotation during business hours</li></ul>About You <ul><li>5+ years industrial experience with large-scale distributed systems.</li><li>Strong proficiency in C++ or Go.</li><li>Knowledge of Unix/Linux environments and Bash scripting.</li><li>Ability to turn high-level requirements into a detailed, cohesive system design.</li><li>Experience with data structures, algorithms, and software design optimized for large-scale distributed systems.</li><li>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field.</li></ul> Bonus Points <ul><li>Knowledge of SQL</li><li>Experience working with GCP</li><li>UI experience</li><li>Prior experience with OTA updates and execution frameworks like Temporal.</li><li>Python programming experience</li></ul> Bullet points At Nuro, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. For this position, the reasonably expected base pay range is between $160,360 and $240,540 for the level at which this job has been scoped. Your base pay will depend on several factors, including your experience, qualifications, education, location, and skills. In the event that you are considered for a different level, a higher or lower pay range would apply.
