Remote work is possible for this position.     About the Company    Established in 2014, Gridworks is a leading EPC contractor for utility-scale solar and battery storage projects. Primarily operating across the southwest, we are expanding into other regions. With 2 GW of solar and battery energy storage projects we are well positioned for continued success in the rapidly growing clean energy sector.    Responsibilities     <ul><li>Develop and implement SCADA strategies for utility-scale solar + BESS generation facilities, substations, and transmission systems.</li><li>Manage the design and development of SCADA systems for renewable energy projects, ensuring compliance with all relevant standards and regulations.</li><li>Lead the project management and commissioning of SCADA systems for renewable energy projects.</li><li>Collaborate with other engineers, project managers, and stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of SCADA systems with other project components.</li><li>Analyze and troubleshoot complex SCADA systems to ensure efficient and reliable operation.</li><li>Provide technical expertise and guidance to other team members as needed.</li><li>Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in SCADA systems and make recommendations for improvements to existing systems.</li><li>Create and maintain documentation for all SCADA system design, testing, and maintenance activities.</li><li>Develop and deliver training to operations and maintenance personnel on SCADA system operation and maintenance.</li></ul>     Qualifications  Minimum Qualifications:<ul><li>Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.</li><li>Minimum of 7 years of experience in SCADA system design, project management, and commissioning for utility-scale solar + BESS generation facilities, substations, and transmission systems.</li><li>Strong technical knowledge of SCADA systems, including hardware and software components (HMI, PLC, RTUs, and IEDs), networking, and communication protocols (Modbus, DNP3, and OPC).</li><li>Experience with programming languages, such as Python or Java, and databases, such as SQL.Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to SCADA systems, such as NERC CIP and IEEE.</li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex SCADA systems.</li><li>Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.</li><li>Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver on time and within budget.</li><li>Experience with data analysis and visualization tools such as OSIsoft PI, MATLAB, or R is a plus.</li><li>Professional certification in SCADA systems is a plus.</li></ul> Work Environment <ul><li>The ideal candidate should be physically able to sit in front of a computer every workday for long hours at a time.</li><li>This job could operate in the main office or remote.</li><li>This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and headsets.</li><li>Work can be fast-paced and demanding during peak seasons in project development.</li></ul> PHYSICAL DEMANDS <ul><li>This is largely a sedentary role working in an office environment. This position would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend, stoop, kneel or stand as necessary, manual dexterity necessary to operate office equipment as necessary to perform all aspects of the job.</li></ul> POSITION TYPE AND EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK <ul><li>This is a full-time position.</li><li>You may be required to infrequently work weekends or after normal business hours to support project needs.</li><li>Flex-schedules are negotiable.</li></ul> TRAVEL <ul><li>Limited travel is expected in this position.</li></ul> OTHER DUTIES As required, please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job. Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice.
