JOB DESCRIPTIONDesign and Development<ul><li>Develop and implement SCADA strategies for utility-scale solar + BESS generation facilities, substations, and transmission systems.</li><li>Ensure that design and development of SCADA systems for renewable energy projects are in compliance with all relevant standards and regulations.</li><li>Lead the project management and commissioning of SCADA systems for renewable energy projects.</li></ul>Engineering Analysis<ul><li>Analyze and troubleshoot complex SCADA systems to ensure efficient and reliable operation.</li></ul>Collaboration<ul><li>Collaborate with other engineers, project managers, and stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of SCADA systems with other project components.</li><li>Provide technical expertise and guidance to other team members as needed.</li></ul>Testing and Validation<ul><li>Develop and execute test plans to validate the performance and functionality of SCADA systems.</li><li>Support troubleshooting and resolution of any issues or anomalies identified during testing.</li><li>Develop and deliver training to operations and maintenance personnel on SCADA system operation and maintenance.</li></ul>Documentation<ul><li>Create and maintain documentation for all SCADA system design, testing, and maintenance activities.</li></ul>Continuous Improvement<ul><li>Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in SCADA systems and make recommendations for improvements to existing systems.</li><li>Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of SCADA design processes.</li></ul> Qualifications QualificationsMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS<ul><li>B.S. degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or a related field - ABET accreditation preferred</li><li>2+ years of experience in utility scale solar and BESS, or a related field</li><li>Familiarity with SCADA systems, including hardware and software components (HMI, PLC RTU, IED), networking and communication protocols (Modbus, DNP3, OPC)</li><li>Experience with programming languages, such as Python or Java, and databases, such as SQL.</li><li>Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to SCADA systems, such as NERC CIP and IEEE.</li><li>Computer skills: Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, Outlook, Teams</li></ul> PREFERRED EXPIERENCE<ul><li>Experience with Ignition, Cisco, SEL</li><li>Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex SCADA systems</li><li>Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team</li><li>Ability to coordinate between multiple engineering disciplines</li><li>High quality organizational skills</li><li>Professional certification in SCADA systems</li></ul> SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES<ul><li>This position has no direct or indirect supervisory responsibilities, subject to change, if necessary, as responsibility changes.</li><li>This position will indirectly report to the SCADA Team Lead</li></ul> WORK ENVIORNMENT<ul><li>The ideal candidate should be physically able to sit in front of a computer every workday for long hours at a time.</li><li>This job could operate in the main office or remote.</li><li>This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and headsets.</li><li>Work can be fast-paced and demanding during peak seasons in project development.</li></ul> PHYSICAL DEMANDS<ul><li>This is largely a sedentary role working in an office environment.
