Job DescriptionAECOM has an opening for a pre/post contract MEP Senior Quantity Surveyor with a Mechanical, Electrical or Quantity Survey degree and 10 years MEP post qualification work experience, Middle East experience is preferable.The role location will primarily be based on the Dubai Head office but will require travel to client and/or site office throughout the UAE as necessary.Pre-Contract<ul><li>Assist with all aspects of MEP pre-contract services through concept, schematic and detailed design phases inclusive of measurement, cost planning and production of BoQ’s for construction projects.</li><li>Assist with preparation of tender and contract documents.</li><li>Assisting in and contributing to value engineering and viability studies.</li></ul>Post Contract<ul><li>Assist in assessing, evaluating and making recommendations related to any financial claim and providing the necessary input with regards to settling such claims.</li><li>Assist in evaluation all change management including variations, additional works, field changes, additions and omissions, and incorporation of the same within the monthly cost reports.</li><li>Preparing and pricing Change Orders and negotiating agreement with the client and contractor as necessary.</li><li>Conducting viability studies and cost estimates.</li><li>Provide assistance to the team during negotiations, arbitration, or any other forms of dispute resolution.</li></ul>Specific Skills Required:<ul><li>Excellent level of literacy skills in English</li><li>Working knowledge of industry practices</li><li>Excellent understanding of MEP quantity surveying practices in particular pre-contract services</li><li>Good understanding of methods of measurement and measurement/billing softwares</li><li>Computer literate with excellent communication skills</li><li>Person Specification:</li><li>Ability to work independently and as a part of a small team.</li><li>Flexibility in approach and attitude: the MEP Team works on a variety of projects, across a wide range of sectors with high profile clients and staff are expected to be adaptable to many demands, roles and responsibilities.</li><li>Safeguard - To operate ethically and with integrity, while prioritizing safety and security in all that you do.</li><li>Be decisive - Know how to prioritize, advocate focus and accountability</li><li>Be impactful - Use clear and frequent communications, drive execution and results.</li><li>Be client-focused - Be collaborative, innovative and strategic.</li><li>Be the role model - Lead by example, demand excellence, maintain safety and integrity as top priorities.</li></ul>
