Join our team.What you’ll do As a Staff Accountant at Niron, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our financial operations. You will manage accounts payable transactions, champion AP processes, and collaborate with internal departments to resolve discrepancies. Your expertise will support month-end and year-end close processes, audits, and compliance reviews. Additionally, you will contribute to the successful implementation of our new ERP system, driving improvements and ensuring seamless accounting workflows.Accounts Payable &amp; Vendor Management<ul><li>Process and review accounts payable transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal policies and external regulations</li><li>Perform daily accounts payable tasks, including invoice and payment processing, employee expense reimbursement, vendor and internal queries, and maintenance of the vendor master file</li><li>Serve as the champion and knowledge area expert for AP and payment processing within the corporate office, driving a high degree of efficiency and accuracy</li><li>Vendor outreach for invoices, vendor statement reconciliations, and assist with purchase order close-out</li><li>Assist with 1099 process and maintaining vendor files (e.g., W-9)</li></ul>Compliance &amp; Collaboration<ul><li>Ensure adherence to government accounting standards and contract requirements, where applicable</li><li>Collaborate with internal departments to resolve discrepancies and ensure proper coding of expenses</li></ul>Financial Close &amp; Reporting<ul><li>Assist in month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting</li></ul>Audit &amp; Reviews<ul><li>Support audits and compliance reviews by preparing schedules and documentation</li></ul>ERP Implementation<ul><li>Participate in the implementation of a new ERP system, including:<ul><li>Assisting with data migration and validation</li><li>Testing system functionality and reporting issues</li><li>Documenting new processes and procedures</li><li>Providing feedback to improve system configuration for accounting workflows</li></ul></li></ul>What we’re looking for<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, or related field.</li><li>2+ years of accounting experience; government contracting or fund accounting experience is a plus.</li><li>Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles.</li><li>Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and analytical skills.</li><li>Experience with Bill.com</li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; Relevant experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 or similar ERP system </li><li>Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment </li><li>Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, start-up environment.</li></ul>Our pay and benefits<ul><li>Salary: $80,000-110,000 annually, depending on education, experience and skills</li><li>Equity position in Niron via stock option grant</li><li>Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance</li><li>Mental healthcare</li><li>401k plan with company match</li><li>Paid vacation, sick time, and holidays</li><li>Experience in a fun, high-performing, manufacturing environment</li></ul>
