Zero Motorcycles is seeking an experienced Senior Quality Engineer (Electrical) to strengthen electrical quality and reliability across product development, production, and customer operations. This role provides technical leadership in ensuring the quality of electrical systems, supporting both production partners and powertrain customers.   <h3>What to Expect</h3>The Senior Quality Engineer will drive cross-functional problem-solving, contribute to new product introduction readiness, and resolve electrical issues impacting production or customers. The position is based in Noord-Scharwoude, Netherlands, and is full-time, Monday through Friday, reporting to the Sr. Director, Quality Engineering. Occasional travel (2-3 days at a time) within Europe is expected, with potential trips to the United States and global manufacturing sites. <h3>Key Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Lead quality initiatives for electrical systems (battery packs, BMS, chargers, controllers, wiring harnesses) across product lifecycle stages. </li><li>Support new product introduction (NPI) by reviewing validation results, engineering changes, and production readiness. </li><li>Resolve electrical quality issues affecting production and powertrain customers using structured problem-solving (8D, 5-Why, Ishikawa, etc.). </li><li>Collaborate with engineering teams to embed reliability and safety requirements into new designs. </li><li>Partner with production partners to ensure containment, corrective actions, and continuous improvement are implemented effectively. </li><li>Monitor and analyze quality data, warranty trends, and field reports to identify systemic risks. </li><li>Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership and global quality forums. </li><li>Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices in electrical quality. </li></ul>Education/Experience <ul><li>Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field. </li><li>5+ years of experience in quality engineering, product development, or reliability within automotive, EV, aerospace, or related industries. </li></ul>Skills and Attributes <ul><li>Strong expertise in electrical systems and diagnostics, including high-voltage safety standards. </li><li>Demonstrated success leading cross-functional resolution of complex technical issues. </li><li>Familiarity with ISO 9001; IATF 16949 knowledge is a plus. </li><li>Skilled in structured problem-solving and data-driven decision-making. </li><li>Excellent communication and collaboration skills with both technical and non-technical teams. </li><li>Fluent in English; Dutch, German, or French is a plus. </li><li>Driving licenses A and B required. </li></ul>Additional Requirements <ul><li>Hands-on and practical with the ability to work on or around vehicles and production equipment </li><li>Driving licenses A and B required </li><li>Ability to lift up to 23 kg when necessary </li></ul><h3>Why Zero Motorcycles</h3>Zero Motorcycles, a leader and innovator in electric motorcycles and commercial powertrains, incorporates advanced technology, stunning design and commitment to environmental benefits.
