The Engineering Technician provides technical support to engineers to achieve improvements in in accordance with operational and production processes.-<div>General Responsibilities • Leads analyzing the malfunctions and deviations of control systems to identify and resolve problems. • Supports the engineering team on sample builds • Ensures tooling and equipment validation with engineering. • Performs engineering tests. • Ensures the developtment of testing and data analysis. • Runs cycle time studies that identifies potential bottlenecks. • Resolves irregularities in the process of the manufacturing equipment. • Performs analysis and prepares reports using metrics obtained from monitoring using raw data, trends and other reports. • Performs technical issues and trains other employees in the team. • Advises on analysis and reports on metrics obtained from tracking using raw data, trends and other reports. Experience / Qualifications • Relevant work experience or knowledge of the role • Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands • Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results • Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)</div>Additional Responsibilities<ul><li>Assist in new product development plus perform validation and documentation DV tests.</li><li>Perform engineering tests.</li><li>Develop test fixtures for component assembly and validation testing.</li><li>Acquire, analyze, and document data. </li><li>Ensure all tests are completed accurately, on-time, and are clearly documented. </li><li>Development testing &amp; data analysis, validation testing, test fixturing (mechanical and electrical), test report writing, troubleshooting</li><li>Work with engineers on program timing and development of testing requirements. </li><li>Work with other technicians to achieve team goals.</li><li>Support and oversee the build of prototype samples, including developing work instructions, guiding operators, collecting and evaluating in-process data.</li><li>Verify compliance of incoming prototype material prior to assembly builds</li></ul>Additional Qualifications<ul><li>Be able to interpret data and make observations/recommendations from experimental results  </li><li>Ability to do light electrical soldering to modify and/or test PCBs.</li><li>Ability to perform device failure analysis if needed</li><li>Ability to read prints and machine fixtures, tooling, etc.</li></ul>#LI-MY1 #LI-Onsite Hourly Base Pay Range: $28.00 - $38.50At Sensata, our employees are the key to our success and growth.  We recognize that each individual brings their own unique experience, therefore the base salary range information shown above is a general guideline only.  Sensata considers several factors when extending an offer, including, but not limited to, a candidate’s experience and qualifications, as well as internal equity, market and business considerations.
