As a Senior EUC &amp; Infrastructure Engineer you will lead a small team of Engineers responsible for supporting and implementing core IT systems. In addition, you will work with the EUC Manager to design and implement new system, evaluate existing performance and help plan for future requirements.Other key responsibilities include:<ul><li>Provide 2/3rd line technical support for company users on back-office systems and desktops.</li><li>Administration of servers and core equipment including the management of user’s accounts, end-user equipment, servers and/or network infrastructure.</li><li>Mentor and support the up skilling of the existing EUC team in the Infrastructure environment.</li><li>Work with other colleagues, group company services and third-party providers to ensure business services are delivered in a timely and reliable manner.</li><li>Utilise technical skills and experience to resolve new or unforeseen problems.</li><li>Project manage proposed changes and new implementations.</li><li>Travel to other company sites to assist in project implementations or problem resolution as required. New hardware installations or upgrades.</li><li>To be involved in Hitachi Rail Europe’s staff development and training and participate in PDP procedures.</li><li>To undertake any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as may be required</li></ul>About youEssential <ul><li>Robust experience in providing 3rd line support for corporate Infrastructure systems in a multi-site organisation (&gt; 500 persons)</li><li>Strong Interpersonal skills, ability to communicate to business managers</li><li>Fluent written and spoken English</li><li>Strong experience in supporting Microsoft software and server systems and upgrades</li><li>Good understanding of hardware virtualisation, particularly VMWare.</li><li>Familiarity with Cisco family of network products, including IOS configuration</li><li>Strong Knowledge of IP networking, including routing and security</li><li>Strong experience of Cisco WIFI technologies</li><li>LP1C, MCSA or similar level certification</li></ul>Desirable<ul><li>Familiarity with Cisco family of network products.
