With steady service growth, we’re now looking for leaders who want to shape the next phase of our journey.Your Role:We are seeking a Service Sales Manager to take ownership of Simply Solar’s Bay Area service operations. You’ll be responsible for responding to inbound service inquiries, triaging and scoping jobs with our field techs, and turning diagnostics into clear, closed estimates for repairs and future work. This is a hands-on role. You’ll be directly responsible for sales, scheduling, revenue, customer satisfaction, and improving processes. Over time, this position is designed to expand into a regional leadership role. Key Responsibilities:Sales &amp; Estimating <ul> <li>Convert inbound service inquiries into booked jobs. </li><li>Build detailed estimates for inverter swaps, critter guard installs, cleaning, add-on batteries, and array expansions. </li><li>Present financing and upgrade options to homeowners </li></ul>Service Operations <ul> <li>Triage tickets, prep job kits/parts, and schedule techs efficiently. </li><li>Manage day-of changes, enforce photo checklists, and ensure compliance with safety and permitting standards. </li><li>Handle inverter RMAs and coordinate warranty logistics. </li></ul>Customer Experience <ul> <li>Provide proactive updates and set clear expectations. </li><li>Follow up post-service to confirm resolution and explore upgrade/maintenance opportunities. </li><li>Turn one-time repair customers into long-term subscribers. </li></ul>Process &amp; Metrics <ul> <li>Maintain dashboards on leads, conversions, ticket cycle time, crew utilization, and callbacks. </li><li>Propose process improvements in workflows and pricing. </li> <li>Collaborate with management, field techs, and OEM partners. </li><li>Contribute to playbooks, training, and eventual regional scaling. </li></ul>Required Qualifications <ul> <li>3–5+ years in residential solar service or a related trade (electrical, roofing, HVAC). </li><li>Technical aptitude in inverters, batteries, monitoring portals, and NEC basics. </li><li>Proven ability to scope and close service work and upgrades. </li><li>Proficiency in CRM/ticketing systems (ServiceTitan, HubSpot, Salesforce, etc.) and spreadsheets. </li><li>Excellent communication skills—empathetic with homeowners who often have “orphaned” systems. </li></ul>Preferred Qualifications <ul> <li>Hands-on experience with Enphase, SolarEdge, Tesla, SMA, and critter guard installs. </li><li>Prior experience leading a small service or dispatch team. </li><li>Comfort with upselling new installations, battery additions, and subscriptions. </li></ul>Tools &amp; Tech <ul> <li>Monitoring: Enphase Enlighten, Tesla, SolarEdge, SMA portals. </li><li>CRM/ticketing: ServiceTitan, HubSpot, Salesforce (or similar). </li><li>Cloud docs and route optimization software. </li><li>Simply Solar’s own software for dispatch, photo documentation, and billing. </li></ul>Work Model <ul> <li>Location: Petaluma, CA (in-office preferred during initial learning phase, with ability to transition to hybrid office/remote).
