Purpose of the job:The Driver is responsible for safely operating assigned vehicles to transport staff, visitors, and materials as required. The role ensures adherence to traffic rules, organizational policies, and vehicle maintenance standards to support smooth operations.This position is based in SNV Sylhet Office with frequent travel to other program areas as and when required.Key ResponsibilitiesDriving &amp; Transportation<ul><li>Safely drive staff, visitors, and goods to designated destinations on time by effective route planning.</li><li>Ensure compliance with traffic rules and road safety regulations.</li><li>Maintain professional conduct and courtesy while transporting passengers.</li></ul>Vehicle Care &amp; Maintenance<ul><li>Conduct daily checks of vehicle condition (fuel, oil, water, battery, brakes, tires, etc.).</li><li>Keep the vehicle clean, both inside and outside, at all times.</li><li>Report any mechanical issues, damages, or required servicing immediately.</li><li>Ensure timely servicing, fitness, insurance, and registration of the vehicle.</li></ul>Documentation &amp; Records<ul><li>Maintain a logbook for mileage, fuel consumption, and service records.</li><li>Assist in managing transport schedules and ensuring efficient use of vehicles.</li><li>Ensure all required vehicle documents (license, insurance, registration) are updated and kept in the vehicle.</li></ul>Safety &amp; Compliance<ul><li>Follow organizational policies and procedures for vehicle use.</li><li>Ensure passenger safety, including the use of seatbelts.</li><li>Take immediate action in case of accidents and report promptly as per policy.</li></ul>Other Duties<ul><li>Support office deliveriesand administrative tasks when required.</li><li>Provide logistical support during field visits, events, or emergencies.</li><li>Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor.</li></ul>
