Centrica is building a low carbon and flexible infrastructure business, with an ambition to create additional value through vertical integration across Retail, Optimisation and Infrastructure.  </div><div>Centrica Power’s objective is to build a scale infrastructure portfolio which delivers high quality earnings to the Centrica Group. We are building a diverse portfolio of assets, with a focus on creating value through contracted revenues and strategic merchant exposure. </div><div>Today, within the UK we have 64MW of Solar, 304MW of BESS and 157MW of Gas Peakers in operation and construction, in addition to our 20% stake in the UK’s operating nuclear fleet. Within Europe, we have a 445MW operating CCGT and 534MW of Gas Peakers under construction in Ireland, and 82MW of operating and under construction BESS across Belgium and Sweden. </div><div>The Investment Analyst/Senior Investment Analyst will be part of the Centrica Power Commercial Team and work on live investment opportunities. These will often be fast-paced, high value investments which require thorough due diligence and Centrica Investment Committee (CIC) approval. The Investment Analyst will also support and lead on a broader range of analysis to support market and competitor insights, project financing, partnerships and joint venture opportunities.  </div><div> </div><div>Key accountabilities: </div><div><ul><li>Lead valuations across a range of technologies (e.g., solar, wind, BESS, LDES, CCGT) using Centrica Power and vendor DCF models </li><li>Manage and oversee internal and external acquisition due diligence </li><li>Support the governance and approvals process for achieving investment committee signoff, including the development of CIC papers </li><li>Lead on both regular and ad hoc market and competitor analysis to support Centrica Power’s strategy and investment decisions </li><li>Provide analysis to support Centrica Power’s bids into Government support schemes (e.g., CfD, cap and floor) </li><li>Support on broader opportunities for Centrica Power as we begin to explore partnerships and joint ventures </li><li>Collaborate with Centrica Energy to share information and source corporate PPA opportunities </li></ul></div><div> </div><div>Experience/competencies: </div><div><ul><li>Experience within the energy industry; energy infrastructure and investment/finance experience is desirable (along with any other relevant professional qualifications, including CFA, ACA etc.) </li><li>Strong aptitude to learn and put into practice complex financial and industry concepts </li><li>Proven Excel modelling experience with a desire to develop financial modelling skills </li><li>Self-motivated with a real ‘can-do’ attitude to drive investment opportunities from origination through to FID, with acceptance of accountability </li><li>Organised, diligent, and able to manage multiple live projects to tight deadlines </li><li>Comfortable with ambiguity and able to prioritise workflow in a changing environment </li></ul></div></div>Why should you apply?       We’re not a perfect place – but we’re a people place.
