Purpose for the job:To lead and manage technical and techno-economic, design aspects and project management during the life cycle of a project related to infrastructure scope for all engineering disciplines such as High Voltage (HV) &amp; electrical including the Instrumentation and Control (I&amp;C) and Cyber Security. The role involves strategic planning, resource allocation, and ensuring project alignment with organizational goals.The Head, HV &amp; electrical will provide technical guidance and leadership to multiple teams of engineers and technical consultants besides the strategic decisions within the Engineering To lead a team of discipline experts in relation to HV &amp; Electrical (including the OT) infrastructure components within the renewable power plants and to be accountable for knowledge transfer to other members of the team.As part of an integrated project team, to prepare and agree on project specifications, budgets and timescales with contractors, clients or other stakeholders, and to define basic design, and create or review test procedures for infrastructure components such as foundation, transformers, cables etc..Job Responsibilities:Strategic contribution and execution of annual objectives:<ul><li>Lead and manage technical support for assessing the HV &amp; electrical infrastructure part of power projects for Masdar</li><li>Contribute to the execution of the Engineering annual objectives in line with Masdar’s vision, mission and overall strategy.</li><li>Provide strategic contribution and ensure risk management processes in place through analyzing how Engineering can set new technological and environmental trends and support business incubation in Abu Dhabi.</li></ul>Leadership of projects from an engineering perspective, ensure maximum value creation:<ul><li>Monitoring projects from technical and techno-economic aspects with regards to all HV &amp; electrical engineering discipline, ensuring maximum value creation, measured through levels of innovation, adoption, and successful deployment of technology in projects.</li></ul>Provision of technical and techno-economic support with respects to HV, electrical and OT infrastructure stream for all projects throughout the full investment lifecycle:<ul><li>Lead the provision of HV, electrical, OT and Cyber Security engineering discipline technical and technoeconomic support for all projects throughout the full investment lifecycle, balancing between in-house and external service providers, and combining lowest cost with maximum knowledge build-up and flexibility.</li><li>Manage the revision of critical design aspects and critical list creation during the execution phase within the domain.</li><li>Support technically the Portfolio Management team, as required, in operational matters that may rise during the asset lifetime.</li></ul>Responsible to provide technical support within the department:<ul><li>Participate in streamlining the technical process and procedure and Electrical standards</li><li>Provide insights on testing/commissioning protocol and other technical specifications within the EPC/O&amp;M contracts and definitive agreements</li><li>Provide technical support for other team members and intervene with external stakeholders (e.g. with lenders technical advisor LTA during TDD) safeguarding Masdar interest</li></ul>
