Location: Brighton, CO Title: Quality Technician Department: Quality Position Type: Full Time Shift: 1 - Hours 7am-330pm, Monday through Friday.  Some overtime depending on customer needs Reporting Line: Site Lead DESCRIPTION OF OVERALL FUNCTION / PURPOSE OF THE POSITION Job Purpose:  QA Technician is responsible for performance of quality inspections to monitor production compatibility vs. requirements and avoid internal and external NCRs. KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY HSE (Health and Safety) execution:<ul><li>Ensure that workers use the specified personal protective equipment for each process.</li><li>Ensure safety compliance of building, chemicals, etc.</li></ul>Quality Management:<ul><li>Inspect and measure product for production - may require the use of metric tape measures calipers, and other tools as needed.</li><li>Record inspection information into electronic based inspection system using an Ipad.</li><li>Perform quality inspections of incoming materials as requested.</li><li>Update electronic inspection criteria as needed.</li><li>Update work instructions as needed.</li><li>Assist in training as required and document in training software.</li><li>Assist in tracking PO’s and ensuring parts are properly identified before shipping.</li><li>Answer customer and internal nonconformances as required.</li><li>Create supplier nonconformances as needed.</li><li>Monthly KPI reporting required.</li><li>Calibrate tools as required.</li><li>Other duties as assigned.</li></ul>Requirements:<ul><li>Must be able to read and use a metric tape measure, caliper, and other tools as needed.</li><li>Must be able to climb steps and ladders.</li><li>Ability to read prints preferred.</li><li>Must have high attention to detail.</li><li>Previous quality experience required.</li><li>Must have excellent eyesight and be able to see color differences.</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication.</li><li>Knowledge of internal audits is preferred.</li><li>Tool calibration knowledge preferred.</li></ul>SUCCESS CRITERIA<ul><li>Ensure Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental policies are followed.</li><li>Ensure nonconforming product does not escape Jupiter Bach to the customer.</li><li>Quality inspections shall be completed on time and according to the work instruction.</li></ul>Disclaimer The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this classification.
