Job Description:Position SummaryThe Sr. Director of Manufacturing Operations is a strategic and hands-on leader responsible for overseeing all manufacturing functions within our electrical balance of systems (eBOS) equipment production operations. This role leads cross-functional teams including Production, Equipment Maintenance, and Supply Chain to ensure high-quality, cost-effective, and timely delivery of products. The successful candidate will play a key role in advancing operational excellence, driving S&amp;OP planning, and scaling manufacturing capacity to meet growing market demands.<div></div>Key ResponsibilitiesManufacturing Operations Leadership<ul><li>Direct and manage all manufacturing functions including production management, supply chain, and equipment maintenance.</li><li>Lead daily operations to meet KPIs related to productivity, quality, cost, and delivery.</li><li>Foster a high-performance, safety-first culture on the manufacturing floor.</li></ul>Team &amp; Functional Oversight<ul><li>Provide leadership to Production Managers, Production Supervisors, Production Planning, and Maintenance teams.</li><li>Build, mentor, and develop a strong operations team to support business growth.</li><li>Establish clear roles, responsibilities, goals, and performance metrics for all direct reports.</li></ul>S&amp;OP and Strategic Planning<ul><li>Lead Sales &amp; Operations Planning (S&amp;OP) processes to align production capacity with demand forecasts.</li><li>Partner with Commercial, Engineering, and Finance teams to optimize inventory levels, production schedules, and capacity planning.</li></ul>Process Improvement &amp; Lean Manufacturing<ul><li>Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and other operational excellence methodologies.</li><li>Identify and implement process automation and technology upgrades to improve efficiency and scalability.</li><li>Ensure adherence to standardized work practices and best-in-class manufacturing methods.</li></ul>Supply Chain &amp; Materials Management<ul><li>Drive Supply Chain leadership to ensure seamless procurement, inventory management, and materials availability for production.</li><li>Drive supplier performance metrics and logistics optimization in coordination with sourcing and planning teams.</li></ul>Capital Planning &amp; Facility Management<ul><li>Oversee manufacturing capacity planning, including equipment procurement, facility layout, and capital investments.</li><li>Ensure preventive maintenance programs are executed for critical machinery and equipment.</li></ul><div></div>Required Qualifications<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, related field or relevant experience</li><li>10+ years of progressive leadership experience in manufacturing, preferably in electrical, mechanical, or industrial equipment production.</li><li>5+ years in a senior operations role (e.g., Director or Plant Manager) with multi-functional oversight.</li></ul><div></div>Preferred Qualifications<ul><li>Master’s degree (MBA, MS in Operations or Engineering) preferred.</li><li>Experience in eBOS systems, electrical infrastructure, or renewable energy equipment manufacturing strongly preferred.</li><li>Experience with custom equipment or product manufacturing</li><li>Expertise in ERP systems, S&amp;OP processes, and lean manufacturing.</li><li>Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing certification a plus.</li></ul><div></div>Key Competencies<ul><li>Strategic and analytical thinking</li><li>Strong leadership and people management</li><li>Cross-functional collaboration</li><li>Operational excellence mindset</li><li>Results-driven and quality-focused</li><li>Excellent communication and change management skills</li></ul>Nextpower offers a comprehensive benefits package.
