Shipping General Line WorkerLocation: St. Joseph Distribution Center | 2330 SW Lower Lake Rd, St. Joseph, MO 64504 Pay: $15.58/hr. base + incentive pay Shifts:<ul><li>3rd Shift: Sunday–Thursday, 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM</li><li>Pay Frequency: Weekly (Friday)</li></ul>What We Offer<ul><li>Starting pay $15.58/hr. + incentive pay</li><li>Paid vacation and 13 paid holidays (eligibility after 30 days)</li><li>Health, dental, and vision insurance</li><li>401k plan with company match</li><li>Annual bonus opportunity (up to 4% based on plant performance)</li><li>Free employee battery program (after 120 days)</li><li>Company-paid uniforms, PPE, and safety shoes</li><li>Fitness reimbursement program</li><li>$1,000 employee referral bonus (after 90 days)</li><li>Career growth opportunities within St. Joseph Distribution &amp; Assembly operations</li></ul>Job ResponsibilitiesAs a Shipping General Line Worker, you’ll ensure customer orders are packaged, labeled, and shipped accurately and efficiently.Primary duties include:<ul><li>Operate and monitor automated shipping and decorating line equipment</li><li>Perform process and quality checks to ensure product meets customer specifications</li><li>Retrieve and follow specifications from the computer terminal</li><li>Remove process vents, decorate batteries, and reapply finish vents</li><li>Polish terminals and test quality using equipment such as Bitrode or manual Hi-Rater</li><li>Palletize batteries per customer requirements using OPS procedures and equipment</li><li>Perform minor repairs and preventative maintenance within scope of role</li><li>Rotate through line positions to maintain production flow and efficiency</li><li>Maintain accurate production counts and documentation</li><li>Keep work area clean and orderly; support regular housekeeping and 5S</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>High school diploma or GED preferred</li><li>6+ months of manufacturing or warehouse experience preferred</li><li>Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform repetitive physical tasks</li><li>Comfortable working in hot environments (temperatures up to 100°F)</li><li>Basic computer, math, reading, and writing skills</li><li>Strong attention to safety, quality, and teamwork</li><li>Must be able to wear required PPE (safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, uniform, and safety boots)</li></ul>About the PlantThe St. Joseph Distribution Center (SJDC) opened in 1995 and employs over 265 people.
