<em>Join us on a mission that matters.</em><h3><strong>Role Purpose</strong></h3><p>As LevelTen Energy’s <strong>Accounting Manager</strong>, you will help grow and strengthen the accounting function within a mission-driven company accelerating the clean energy transition. You will manage the monthly close process, prepare financial statements, and perform financial analysis under the direction of the Controller, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and efficiency across all accounting activities.</p><p>We are looking for someone who thrives on ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement. You bring energy, accountability, and a commitment to quality that helps elevate both your team and the business.</p><h3><strong>Duties and Responsibilities</strong></h3><ul><li>Lead the month-end close process to ensure they are recorded timely and properly in accordance with US GAAP and internal policies.</li><li>Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, monthly flux analysis and other analysis as needed.</li><li>Own accurate  revenue recognition and AR for all customer contracts in accordance with ASC 606 including adjustments for nonstandard contract terms.</li><li>Responsible for assessing, documenting, and defending the company’s revenue recognition policies and positions including for any nonstandard contracts.</li><li>Track and validate contract milestones to support timely invoicing.</li><li>Design, implement, document, and oversee processes and internal controls related to the order-to-cash cycle for revenue recognition and related processes and procure-to-pay cycle.</li><li>Continuously improve and refine processes and procedures that can scale effectively as we grow to increase efficiency and quality of the team’s deliverables.</li><li>Ensure continuous improvement for our accounting systems environment.</li><li>Serve as the accounting lead for revenue-related system enhancements and technology implementations. </li><li>Lead the external annual financial statement audit and EBP plan audit by timely submission of PBC schedules and responses to inquiries.</li><li>Support cross-functional efforts and build relationships with other teams including, performing special, ad-hoc projects in Accounting/Finance as requested.</li><li>Monitor sales commissions and properly account for sales commissions in accordance with ASC 606.</li><li>Complete monthly and quarterly sales tax reporting requirements</li><li>Supervise and mentor an Accounts Payable Specialist.</li></ul><h3><strong>Qualifications</strong></h3><ul><li>CPA designation (Inactive or Active)</li><li>5+ years of related experience.</li><li>2+ years of experience leading and managing teams.</li><li>Strong Understanding of GAAP Accounting</li><li>Deep knowledge of revenue (ASC 606) and other general accounting concepts.
