Maintenance FitterPACT Group<ul><li>Permanent / full-time, rotating day / afternoon shift position (no night shift)</li><li>Secure role in an established business and industry</li><li>Good conditions</li></ul>Job DescriptionTo carry out mechanical maintenance activities across the site, ensuring optimal performance of equipment and machinery in alignment with operational goals.The successful applicant is to be an integral part of a small but dynamic team maintaining a range of plastic blow moulding equipment and robotic packaging automation, with scope to learn and grow.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Complete scheduled maintenance and respond to mechanical breakdowns as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor.</li><li>Work both independently and collaboratively to achieve optimal outcomes for the business.</li><li>Scope, execute, record, and close out tasks using MEX Work Orders.</li><li>Provide support to the production team to ensure smooth operations.</li><li>Collaborate with Electrical Trades personnel when required.</li><li>Contribute to Continuous Improvement (CI) projects focused on enhancing safety, productivity, quality, and reliability.</li><li>Assist in managing spare parts inventory to support maintenance activities.</li><li>Demonstrate strong safety awareness and consistently uphold a safety-first mindset.</li><li>Apply analytical skills to diagnose faults and resolve mechanical issues.</li><li>Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.</li><li>Prioritise safety in all aspects of work.</li><li>Work with the Maintenance Supervisor to improve machine availability through preventative maintenance programs.</li><li>Maximise utilisation of available labour hours to ensure efficient resource use.</li><li>Continuously improve machinery safety and promote safe working practices.</li></ul>Your skills and experienceTo be successful in this role, you’ll have:<ul><li>Prior experience in maintenance in a manufacturing environment</li><li>Understanding of “good practice” preventative maintenance strategies</li><li>Hydraulic and Pneumatics experience</li><li>Trades qualified Fitter or equivalent</li></ul>
