Must be familiar with emergency procedures to follow during periods of abnormal operation. Accountable for knowing and adhering to all location safety procedures including Lockout and personal protective equipment. Performs all maintenance disciplines (I&amp;CE, Insturment, Controls, and Electrical) of plant equipment; troubleshoots, repairs, and calibrates equipment. Position must monitor equipment performance through test, analysis, and report variances. <h2>Responsibilities</h2><ul><li>Perform maintenance on all plant electrical equipment, such as motor control centers (MCC), instrumentation, control systems, distributed control system (DCS), motors, power plant electrical equipment AC and DC, etc.</li><li>Knowledgeable in the use of electrical test equipment / tool, megger, multimeter, etc.</li><li>Trained and knowledgeable in the safe and proper use of grounding cables, electrical gloves, electrical blankets, arc flash suits, 4160-volt breaker racking device, etc.</li><li>Perform trouble shooting from control system logic.</li><li>Work safely and effectively in a team environment.</li><li>Learn basic skills in other craft areas such as operation and mechanical.</li><li>Adhere to all station safety and environmental programs and procedures.</li><li>Ability to operate station vehicles such as forklifts, manlift, and trucks.</li><li>Perform precision inspections and troubleshooting of electrical and instrument equipment such as motors, pressure transmitters, temperature transmitters, voltage meters, breakers, etc</li><li>This position is a multiskilled role that requires qualification within the Instrument, Electrical, and Controls (IC&amp;E) job family.  It also requires continual training for future qualification in other field skillsets (Mechanical and Operations).</li></ul>Basic/Required Qualifications<ul><li>High School Diploma or GED</li><li>Prior experience in Instrument, Controls, and Electrical preferably with DCS and PLC experience.</li><li>Must be journeyman level in Instruments, Controls and Electrical (IC&amp;E) discipline, with an expectation to obtain skills in mechanical and operations though site training program.</li></ul>Additional Preferred Qualifications<ul><li>Military or technical training.</li><li>Working knowledge of the overall operating fundamentals and principle of generating station systems, equipment, and processes.</li><li>Combined Cycle Experience.</li><li>Maintaining and troubleshooting Distributed Control Systems, preferably Siemens T3000. Experience in developing logic to enhance combined cycle operations.</li><li>Experience in maintaining and troubleshooting PLC systems.</li><li>Experience and ability to monitor and troubleshoot equipment and system operations (Combustion Turbines, Steam Turbines, Generators, pumps, valves, HRSGs, etc.)</li><li>Experience in maintaining and troubleshooting Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems (CEMS), maintaining QA/QC program, and adhering to Air Permits and Title V compliance.</li><li>Demonstrated good computer skills utilizing windows applications, email, CMMS, preferably Maximo and the work management process.</li><li>Knowledge of NERC standards and Cyber security as they apply to the plant.</li></ul>Working Conditions<ul><li>Industrial power plant environment.</li><li>Rotating equipment, poor lighting, vibrations, extreme heat/cold, poor ventilation, fumes/gasses/chemicals, machine operation, vehicle operation, high noise levels, high voltage, prolonged standing, walking, kneeling, bending, climbing, lifting to knees-waist- shoulders - overhead, call outs, outage response.</li></ul>Specific Requirements<ul><li>Valid Driver's License</li><li>Successful completion of EEI MASS Test</li><li>Prior experience in Instrument &amp; Controls, Electrical.
