Job SummaryThe Warehouse Inventory Specialist is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, ensuring proper stock levels, and supporting the efficient flow of goods throughout our company. This role plays a critical part in optimizing our supply chain and meeting customer demand by minimizing discrepancies and maximizing product availability. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and possess a strong understanding of inventory management principles. Responsibilities:● Fulfill Work Orders and Transfer Orders from Warehouse● Picking inventory for production assembly● Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory counts to verify accuracy between system records and physical stock.● Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, including shortages, overages, and misplacements, by tracing transactions and collaborating with other departments.● Monitor inventory levels, identify potential Shortages or excess inventory, and communicate findings to relevant stakeholders (e.g., purchasing, operations).● Process incoming shipments, verifying quantities against purchase orders, and ensuring proper labeling and storage of products.● Move material inside the factory as required by internal teams● Manage outgoing shipments, verifying order accuracy and preparing products for dispatch.● Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) and other inventory software to track inventory movements, generate reports, and update records.● Organize and maintain the warehouse layout for optimal space utilization, accessibility, and efficient retrieval of goods.● Inspect and report damaged or defective products, coordinating with quality control and returning departments as needed.● Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance inventory accuracy, efficiency, and overall warehouse operations.● Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.● Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.● Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned. Qualifications:● High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree or relevant certification in logistics, supply chain, or a related field preferred.● 1-3 years of experience in a warehouse or inventory control role.● Strong mathematical and analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.● Basic Experience with Google Suite, Microsoft Office● Excellent organizational and time management abilities.● Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.● Effective communication skills, both written and verbal. Preferred Skills and Experience:● Knowledge of general Supply Chain Standards and processes (e.g. FIFO/LIFO, RMA, QC, Kitting, Transfer Orders)● Experience with cycle count methodologies and reconciliation processes.● Forklift certification preferred or willingness to obtain.● Experience with Excel Google Suite, Microsoft Office, Jira● Experience with 5S, Continuous Improvement, Lean and other manufacturing improvement processes● Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory tracking software (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, Odoo) Physical Requirements● Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs)● Stand/Walk for 8+ hours Daily● Navigate warehouse and reach items both high and low Location: This position is in Alameda, CA.
