We’re looking for talented, committed individuals to join our team as we push onward toward certifying the Joby aircraft, scaling our manufacturing, and launching our initial commercial service.<h2>Overview</h2><p>The Recruiting Manager, Engineering,  will play a pivotal role in contributing to the team’s mission to attract and onboard a diverse workforce that will bring the Joby mission to fruition. This position requires strong leadership skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to build and maintain relationships both internally and externally. The selected individual will maintain a workload of requisitions as well as supervise the work of  their direct reports. The team they will manage will be a mix of full life cycle and sourcers, Additionally, the Recruiting Manager, Engineering,  will lead initiatives to promote diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging (DEIB) throughout the recruitment process.  This role is onsite in one of our California locations (Santa Cruz, San Carlos or Marina). </p><h2>Responsibilities</h2><p> </p><ul> <li>Team Leadership:  Lead and mentor a team of recruiters to ensure the achievement of hiring targets and deliver an exceptional candidate experience, while fostering a culture of inclusivity and belonging.</li> <li>Full-Cycle Recruitment: Oversee and develop the full recruitment life cycle, including job posting, sourcing, screening, interviewing, and offer negotiation, with a commitment to diversifying the candidate pipeline while maintaining compliance standards. </li> <li>Talent Sourcing: Directly manage the Joby sourcing team. Utilize a variety of sourcing methods to attract diverse and high-quality candidates, including job boards, social media, networking events, and employee referrals, while actively seeking out underrepresented talent.</li> <li>Partnership Building: Build and maintain strong relationships with hiring managers and stakeholders to understand their hiring needs and provide strategic recruitment support with a focus on creating and maintaining a best in class experience.</li> <li>Data Analysis: Utilize data and metrics to track recruiting effectiveness and efficiency, identify areas for improvement, and make data-driven decisions to advance efforts in recruitment.</li></ul><h2>Required</h2><ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field or at least eight years of business experience in lieu of a degree or a combination of both.</li> <li>Minimum of 7 years of experience in recruitment in an in house, corporate setting.</li> <li>At least 3 years of experience directly managing a recruiting or sourcing team.</li> <li>Proven track record of successfully managing requisitions and achieving hiring targets, with a demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging.</li> <li>Understanding of recruiting best practices, including sourcing techniques, candidate assessment methods, and employment law compliance.</li> <li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization, promoting a culture of belonging.</li> <li>Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.</li> <li>Proficiency in iCIMS and Gem and/or other applicant tracking systems (ATS), candidate relationship management (CRM) tools, and other recruitment software.</li></ul><h2>Desired</h2><ul> <li>SHRM/PHR/AIRS or similar certification.</li> <li>Understanding of the full spectrum of the human resources function (compensation, internal mobility, learning and development, performance management, etc). </li> <li>Experience within a diverse range of recruiting environments, ranging from fast paced, high volume to low volume, niche based and executive searches.</li></ul><p> </p><h2>Additional Information</h2><p>Compensation at Joby is a combination of base pay and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
