This person will play a critical role in overseeing the daily operations of the accounting function, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with US GAAP.  This position is responsible for managing journal entry preparation / review, account reconciliations, timely payment execution, and coordinating audits. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and possesses strong communication skills and will participate in process improvements and system improvements.  The role is part of a fast-paced team that focuses on providing accurate financial information for internal and external use in a timely manner.In this role, you will:<ul><li>Manage and execute the daily operations of the accounting function, including journal entries, accounts payable/receivable, payroll review, managing month end/quarter end closing process, general ledger, and account reconciliations.</li><li>Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.</li><li>Coordinate the annual audit process, liaising with external auditors and internal teams.</li><li>Help improve accounting policies, procedures, and controls to enhance efficiency and accuracy.</li><li>Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.</li><li>Assist with tax filings and liaise with external tax advisors as needed.</li><li>Participate in process improvement, system upgrades, and automation initiatives.</li></ul>We are looking for people who:<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred</li><li>5+ years of progressive accounting experience</li><li>Prior experience in public accounting is a plus</li><li>In-depth knowledge of U.S. GAAP</li><li>Strong verbal and written communication skills</li><li>Strong analytic skills</li><li>Detail oriented</li><li>Experience with ERP systems; NetSuite is a plus</li><li>Able to be fully onsite in Billerica, MA.</li></ul>Some of our competitive benefits include:<ul><li>Medical, dental, and vision insurance</li><li>Generous paid time off </li><li>401(k) plan that includes employer matching funds</li><li>Education assistance plan</li><li>Life insurance and disability coverage</li></ul> Work Location:805 Middlesex Turnpike, Billerica, MA 01821 Salary Range:$115k/yr-$140k/yr Factorial Energy is an equal opportunity employer that values diversity at all levels.
