We’re currently seeking an Aviation Engineer to join our team and support the design and delivery of airport infrastructure projects of varying scale and complexity.You’ll play a key role in designing and supporting airport engineering projects, including runways, taxiways, aprons, aircraft stands, and boarding bridges, Vehicle service roads, airfield lighting, and signage installation, navigational aids and surface water drainage systems, utilities relocation and protection and airfield asset inspection, rehabilitation, and upgrade projectsWe are open to locations across the UK and we offer a flexible hybrid working model designed to give you the work-life balance that suits your lifestyle.Here’s what you’ll do:Here is an example of the work you would be delivering:<ul><li>Performing a wide array of aviation-related pavement and civil infrastructure evaluation, design, planning, and construction support services for airport clients under supervision.  </li><li>Working on Civil and Military airport projects ranging from large airports to General Aviation airfields on behalf of the airport operator/owner or for Contractors under a Design and Build contract.</li><li>Support in the preparation of proposals. </li><li>Implement project Quality Assurance/Quality Control.</li><li>Preparation of engineering design reports, project definition documents, construction plans, works programmes under supervision and contribute towards contract documents / technical specifications</li><li>Collaborating with design teams consisting of multi-discipline design engineers and technicians</li></ul>If this role sounds rewarding, we are looking for candidates who can demonstrate some of the following:Technical Experience<ul><li>Civil design, planning, and construction support experience within an airport environment; exposure to large-scale aviation projects is an advantage.</li><li>Knowledge of civil aviation standards and recommended practices (e.g., ICAO, EASA, CAA, FAA, MAA).</li><li>Understanding of DMRB or highway civil engineering design.</li><li>Knowledge of drainage design and related infrastructure.</li><li>Familiarity with NEC3/4 contracts.</li></ul>Technical Skills<ul><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, ideally with experience using Microsoft Project</li><li>Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD, preferably with Civil 3D expertise</li></ul> Come grow with us.We develop projects from concept through operation providing engineering and construction services for multiyear, multimillion-dollar projects for major projects in Aviation.And let's not forget about the perks at AECOM.
