The location for this position is in Vaasa, Finland. We offer a possibility to hybrid remote work although most of the tasks will require on-site presence. This is a temporary position for maximum of 8 months.    Your role and responsibilities:    As a Material Expert your work will include metallographic sample preparation, optical/SEM microscopy, hardness measurements, NDT-tests and finally reporting of the investigation results. The tasks can also be adjusted based on your individual skills and interests. You’ll be working as a part of R&amp;D Materials&amp;Tribology team with diverse expertise.   Requirements for the position:  <ul><li>M.Sc or B.Sc degree in mechanical engineering (ideally focusing on materials engineering)</li><li>Experience in material investigation methods (metallography, microscopy, mechanical/corrosion/wear testing) </li><li>Fluency in English, both written and verbal</li></ul> Qualifications/to be able to succeed in the position we expect you to have:  <ul><li>Good teamworking and problem-solving skills</li><li>Good general knowledge of materials and heat treatment methods </li><li>Positive attitude and ability to learn new skills quickly</li><li>Work experience from equivalent field   </li><li>Good command of Finnish language is an advantage</li></ul>   Why you and us?       You are valued – as your true self.
