This role involves leading a team of sales professionals, developing and implementing sales strategies, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. The Metering Sales Manager conducts regular sales meetings, reviews sales data, and collaborates with other departments to address customer needs and drive continuous improvement. Key responsibilities include managing sales documentation, providing training and development opportunities for staff, and reporting on sales performance to senior management. Duties &amp; Responsibilities: Training and Development<ul><li>Conduct training sessions for new sales team members</li><li>Create and implement ongoing training programs for current sales staff</li><li>Monitor and evaluate the performance of team members and provide feedback and coaching as needed</li><li>Identify and address any knowledge or skill gaps within the team</li></ul>Sales Management<ul><li>• Set sales targets and goals for the team</li><li>Monitor and track individual and team sales performance</li><li>Identify and implement strategies to increase sales and meet targets</li><li>Analyze sales data and provide reports to upper management</li></ul>Customer Relations<ul><li>Ensure excellent customer service is provided by all team members</li><li>Handle any escalated customer complaints or issues</li><li>Maintain positive relationships with key clients and accounts</li><li>Identify and implement strategies to improve the overall customer experience</li></ul>Inventory Management<ul><li>Monitor and track inventory levels for products</li><li>Coordinate with purchasing department to ensure product availability</li><li>Implement strategies to reduce inventory costs and improve turnover rate</li><li>Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy and identify any discrepancies.</li></ul>Team Mentorship:<ul><li>Empowerment: Mentor junior team members, fostering their growth and skill development.</li><li>Collaboration: Work closely with cross functional teams to align processes and achieve goals.</li></ul>Job Requirements:<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering or related field that provides exposure to fundamental theories, principles, and concepts.</li><li>Minimum of 5 years experience in water metering with at least 2 year people leader experience within similar industry.</li><li>Experience dealing with utilities and/or municipalities.</li><li>Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data.</li><li>Proficiency in sales tools and software (e.g., SalesForce, CRM systems, SAP).</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills.</li><li>Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross functional teams.</li><li>Strong negotiation and closing skills.</li><li>Knowledge of market research and competitive analysis techniques.</li><li>Ability to develop and implement sales strategies and plans.</li><li>Ability to travel as and when required.</li></ul> High Impact Behaviors:<ul><li>Leadership by Example: Supervisors should model the behavior they expect from their team.
