This person will be a key stakeholder in structural design decisions, from architecture to optimization to validation. They will work with internal design and manufacturing partners, along with external partners, to provide engineering trades and guidance. This person has strong fundamentals while bringing a practical and can-do attitude to the role. Responsibilities:Structural Analysis<ul><li>Guide and inform Energy Storage System structural design:</li><li>Define relevant loading conditions, analysis and validation strategy</li><li>Perform detailed static and dynamic structural analysis of systems and components, determining stress, strain, frequency response, and fatigue characteristics using first principles, hand calculations, and FEA.</li><li>Propose design modifications to enhance structural reliability and performance</li></ul>Simulation and Modeling<ul><li>Develop and validate simulation models for structural analysis</li><li>Utilize advanced computational tools and techniques, such as finite element analysis (FEA)</li></ul>Testing and Validation:<ul><li>Design and oversee experimental tests to validate models and predictions</li><li>Work with test engineers to analyze and correlate test data, and to incorporate findings into simulation model and design improvements</li></ul>Collaboration and Communication<ul><li>Work closely with cross-functional teams, including development, manufacturing, and quality assurance</li><li>Present analysis results and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders</li><li>Drive and participate in a culture of rapid prototyping and testing</li><li>A great team spirit and get-it-done attitude.
