Be on the forefront of manufacturing R&amp;D</li><li>Rethink manufacturing processes to enable optimization with improved tooling/equipment</li><li>Work with the product design and materials and processes teams to concurrently develop novel manufacturing processes</li><li>Lead process ideation, creation and development efforts</li><li>Prototype and test novel manufacturing processes</li><li>Optimize inspection, quality, and test processes while maintaining regulatory compliance</li><li>Support commissioning and validation of tooling and equipment</li><li>Fabricate and modify parts as needed, including tasks such as machining and welding</li><li>Develop maintenance and troubleshooting documentation including qualification and calibration procedures</li></ul><h3>Minimum Qualifications:</h3><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Aerospace or other Engineering degree with manufacturing focus from an accredited University.</li><li>Minimum 3 years experience in manufacturing environment</li><li>Proficiency with 3D CAD software (Solidworks or Catia preferred)</li><li>Experience developing advanced manufacturing processes e.g. additive manufacturing, automation, vision systems, laser welding </li><li>Self-starter that is well organized, disciplined, team player, and communication skills required</li><li>Innate curiosity for the cutting edge of manufacturing technologies</li></ul><h3>Above and Beyond Qualifications:</h3><ul><li>Experience with manufacturing tooling design</li><li>Experience with designing and implementing industrial automation solutions</li><li>Understanding of material properties and their appropriate application </li><li>Proficiency with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing, particular experience with ASME Y-14.5 preferred</li></ul><h3>Physical Demands and Work Environment:</h3><ul><li>Must be able to be active on their feet for a full 8-hour shift</li><li>Able to lift 25lbs</li><li>Able to be in front of a computer for at least several hours</li></ul><br><div><span style="font-size:18px;"><b>Build electric airplanes with us!</b></span></div><div><br></div><div><span style="font-size:16px;">We encourage all driven candidates to apply, even if they do not meet every listed qualification.</span></div><div><br></div><div><span style="font-size:16px;">We are an equal opportunity employer.
