In this role, you'll be responsible for the design, implementation, and validation of advanced motor control algorithms critical to our electric aircraft's performance and reliability.</span></div><br><br><h3>How you will contribute to revolutionizing electric aviation: </h3><ul><li>Develop, simulate, and implement advanced electric motor control algorithms using MATLAB/Simulink.</li><li>Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to define system-level control strategies and performance targets.</li><li>Validate and refine control algorithms through hardware-in-the-loop (HIL), dynamometer, and system-level testing.</li><li>Support embedded software development in C/C++ for real-time motor control on target platforms.</li><li>Contribute to code development and version control using Git-based tools (e.g., GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket).</li><li>Ensure control solutions meet reliability, safety, and performance requirements for aerospace applications.</li><li><b>Eligibility Requirement: </b>Due to regulations, contractual requirements, and export control laws, applicants must be a U.S. persons to be considered.</li></ul><h3>Minimum Qualifications: </h3><ul><li>Bachelor’s or higher degree in Controls Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.</li><li>3+ years of hands-on experience in electric motor control systems.</li><li>Proficient in MATLAB/Simulink for control design and simulation.</li></ul><h3>Above and Beyond Qualifications: </h3><ul><li>Experience programming in <b>C/C++</b> for embedded real-time systems.</li><li>Knowledge of embedded hardware platforms and firmware development.</li><li>Familiarity with version control systems such as Git, GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket.</li><li>Strong background in testing and tuning motor control algorithms through dynamometer or system-level platforms.</li><li>Experience with circuit and PCB design for motor control hardware.</li><li>Proficiency with <b>Ansys Maxwell</b>, <b>Motor-CAD</b>, or similar electromagnetic simulation tools.</li><li>Modeling experience in <b>PLECS</b> or similar system-level simulation tools.</li><li>Prior experience in the <b>aerospace industry</b>, especially with DO-178C or DO-331 compliance.</li><li>Understanding of electric propulsion system integration in aircraft.</li></ul><br><div><span style="font-size:18px;"><b>Build electric airplanes with us!</b></span></div><div><br></div><div><span style="font-size:16px;">We encourage all driven candidates to apply, even if they do not meet every listed qualification.</span></div><div><br></div><div><span style="font-size:16px;">We are an equal opportunity employer.
