Summary of PositionThe (EHS) Environmental Health Safety Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining environmental, health and safety programs to ensure a safe working environment for all employees at Silfab Solar. This role plays a crucial part in promoting and enforcing safety standards, conducting training, and fostering a culture of safety consciousness throughout the organization.  This role also will play a pivotal role in ensuring our operations align with environmental sustainability standards. Your work will focus on implementing strategies to minimize environmental impact, optimize resource efficiency, and support our commitment to renewable energy. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will lead initiatives to enhance environmental performance across our solar manufacturing processes.Essential Duties and Responsibilities<ul><li>Monitor and ensure compliance with environmental regulations and standards, both local and international, while also ensuring documentation and reporting data to support environmental management practices are recorded and stored appropriately.</li><li>Support the WA facility's requirements under Silfab's Integrated Management System for ISO 45000 (safety) and ISO 14001 (environmental) and ensure the requirements of those management systems are met and continually adhere to. </li><li>Develop and implement procedures to minimize environmental impact and ensure adherence to sustainability goals.</li><li>Design and implement waste reduction and recycling programs to minimize the environmental footprint of manufacturing processes.</li><li>Collaborate with production teams to optimize resource utilization and reduce waste generation.</li><li>Conduct environmental impact assessments for new projects and initiatives, providing recommendations for sustainable practices.</li><li>Collaborate with stakeholders to integrate environmental considerations into decision-making processes.</li><li>Work with engineering teams to identify opportunities for renewable energy integration within manufacturing processes.</li><li>Lead initiatives to enhance energy efficiency and reduce the carbon footprint of operations.</li><li>Develop and implement health and safety policies, procedures, and guidelines in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.</li><li>Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement preventive measures.</li><li>Lead incident investigations to determine root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.</li><li>Collaborate with department managers to ensure safety protocols are integrated into daily operations and workflows.</li><li>Conduct safety training and provide guidance to employees on safe work practices.</li><li>Maintain records of safety training, incidents, and safety-related activities.</li><li>Monitor changes in safety regulations and industry best practices to ensure continuous compliance and improvement.</li><li>Lead and direct the evaluation of safety concerns, close calls, property damage, injuries and illnesses seeking opportunities to learn, adapt, and address the systemic issues that contributed or caused the incident.</li><li>Coordinate safety-related programs, such as emergency response, first aid, and ergonomic assessments.</li><li>Act as a point of contact for safety-related inquiries, concerns, and issues raised by employees.</li><li>Foster a culture of safety consciousness and promote employee engagement in safety initiatives.</li><li>Participate in safety committees and workgroups to address safety-related matters.</li><li>Participate in the facility's green team, and support the initiatives that are born out of that groups efforts. </li><li>Lead and develop a team of safety and health professionals, valuing their unique perspectives and skills to collectively succeed in achieving the company's goals.</li></ul>
