Projects include refurbishment and new-build Substations, Overhead Lines (OHL), and Underground Cable installations. Work packages are typically split across multiple contractors (Civil, Enabling Works, Balance of Plant, Commissioning, and Free Issue Materials).<ul><li>Take ownership of allocated projects during the construction phase, acting as the Quality Advisor.</li><li>Review and advise on Contractor’s Quality Management Plan, ITPs with associated Check Sheets.   </li><li>Attend Project kick-off meetings to set clear Quality requirements/expectations.</li><li>Provide support and advice to project and office-based staff to achieve compliance with internal and external quality management systems and industry best practices.</li><li>Attend project progress and coordination meetings where required to provide quality input and advice.</li><li>Conduct regular site inspections to carry out quality audits and inspections with frequency determined by risk factor, verifying QA &amp; QC adherence to quality standards. Support project team to identify and solve quality nonconformities, manage incidents and follow up.</li><li>Support project teams in identifying non-conformances and managing resolutions.</li><li>Assist in ensuring handover documents including completed ITPs records (verification data referenced) and as-built information are captured in a timely manner by conducting regular reviews of the final file.</li><li>Provide information to the Project Manager to support Contractor review and Lessons Learned.</li><li>Assist in the continuous development of team-wide quality processes and procedures.</li></ul>What You'll Bring<ul><li>Understanding of QA/QC principles and ISO 9001 standards.</li><li>ISO 9001 Internal/Lead Auditor qualification (beneficial but not essential).</li><li>Working knowledge of Inspection &amp; Test Plans/Check-Sheets for construction projects.</li><li>Working knowledge of raising and managing Nonconformances for construction projects.</li><li>Analytical mindset with good communication and problem-solving skills.</li><li>Current valid driving licence.</li><li>HNC or Degree in Civil or Electrical Engineering, or a related Construction discipline (preferred).</li><li>Site-based construction experience in a Civil/Electrical infrastructure environment (preferable).</li><li>CSCS card (preferable).</li></ul>Minimum Criteria<ul><li>Practical experience in site-based Civil/Electrical infrastructure projects.</li><li>Strong understanding of QA/QC principles and ISO 9001 standards.</li><li>Ability to review and work with Inspection &amp; Test Plans (ITPs) and Check Sheets.</li><li>Valid UK driving licence and willingness to travel across SPEN network area.</li></ul>What’s in it for you As well as a competitive salary which is reviewed annually, you can also enjoy a number of other benefits.
