Discuss equipment repair with personnel, evaluate problems, write work orders, and assign and prioritize work.</li><li>Inspect work in progress and upon completion when required. Inspect tools and equipment for condition and proper use. Approve stock orders for needed parts. Maintain records of work, troubleshoot various facilities and transit equipment problems. Understand and use automotive test equipment manuals and diagrams.</li><li>Direct and coordinate the administrative activities pertinent to the maintenance of system equipment and property. Help prepare the maintenance budget and oversee maintenance budget.</li><li>Provide technical advice to mechanics. Determine need and feasibility of major repairs on individual pieces of equipment.</li><li>Direct and coordinate the ordering, receiving, storing, and distribution of an inventory of equipment supplies and spare parts.</li><li>Diagnose and perform all repairs as required by mechanics, including but not limited to, engine defects, transmission defects, electrical defects, and preventative maintenance. </li><li>Build strong working relationships with partners, vendors, and other stakeholders, including central Via teams and our partners.</li></ul>Who You Are:<ul><li>Self-starter who is proactive and comfortable taking on a high level of responsibility</li><li>Vocational automotive training and considerable experience including two years supervisory experience in skilled mechanical work strongly preferred</li><li>Strong project manager eager to create and refine operational processes</li><li>Outgoing and sociable leader; skilled at communicating professionally with partners, vendors, and partners from a broad range of backgrounds</li><li>Comfortable prioritizing and working on multiple initiatives with various stakeholders </li><li>Hold a valid driver’s license</li><li>Hold a high school diploma or GED certificate</li><li>Vocational automotive training and considerable experience including two years supervisory experience in skilled mechanical work strongly preferred.</li></ul>Compensation and Benefits:<ul><li style="font-weight:400;">Final salary will be determined by the candidate’s experience, knowledge, and skills.
