Our core business focuses on offering working capital advances to growers through pre-season financing and accounts receivable factoring. Additionally, we collaborate with strategic buyers to develop commodity sourcing programs and structured financing vehicles.We are currently looking for a Director of Strategic Accounts. This role will be responsible for managing and expanding relationships with our most important and high-value clients. The Director will develop and execute strategic account plans, identify new opportunities, and ensure exceptional service delivery. We are seeking a candidate who is comfortable with a consultative sales approach and is adept at exploring opportunity areas such as:<ul><li>Stand-alone working capital solutions for buyers of produce (pre-season advances and accounts receivable factoring)</li><li>Commodity sourcing programs that connect growers with off-take programs, supported by inventory commitments, financing, and on-the-ground quality control services</li><li>Structured finance programs where strategic buyers invest in ProducePay-managed financing vehicles to grow and derisk their grower portfolios</li></ul>Responsibilities:Strategic Account Management<ul><li>Develop and execute account strategies using a consultative sales approach to drive growth and achieve business objectives for key strategic accounts</li><li>Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with senior executives and key stakeholders at major accounts</li><li>Act as the primary point of contact for strategic accounts, addressing their needs, concerns, and opportunities effectively</li></ul>Revenue Growth and Business Development<ul><li>Identify and pursue new business opportunities (standalone financing products, sourcing programs and structured finance solutions) within existing strategic accounts to expand revenue streams</li><li>Develop and negotiate complex contracts and agreements with key accounts to maximize profitability and long-term value</li><li>Collaborate with the internal teams to identify and target new strategic accounts and market segments</li></ul>Client Success and Satisfaction<ul><li>Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through proactive account management, regular check-ins, and addressing any issues promptly</li><li>Oversee the delivery of products and services to ensure they meet or exceed customer expectations</li><li>Drive customer retention and loyalty through exceptional service and value delivery</li></ul>Cross-Functional Collaboration<ul><li>Work closely with internal teams, including Product, Marketing, and Customer Support, to ensure alignment and support for strategic accounts</li><li>Share insights and feedback from strategic accounts with internal teams to drive product and service improvements</li></ul>Reporting and Analytics<ul><li>Monitor and analyze account performance metrics to track progress and identify areas for improvement</li><li>Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on account status, opportunities, and challenges</li></ul>Requirements<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field (advanced degree preferred)</li></ul><ul><li>10+ years of experience in account management or business development, with a proven track record of managing strategic accounts and driving revenue growth</li><li>Strong network of relationships within the North American fresh produce industry with buyers, marketers, importers and integrated suppliers</li><li>Experience with working capital or structured financing solutions is a plus</li><li>Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills</li><li>Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with senior executives and decision-makers</li><li>Proven leadership skills with experience managing and developing high-performing teams</li><li>Exceptional communication and email etiquette, and the ability to maintain a professional demeanor in challenging situations</li><li>Self-starter that thrives in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced startup environment with the demonstrated capacity to lead, motivate, and work well with others</li><li>Ability to take ownership of problems and drive to accomplish what is necessary to solve them</li><li>Works collaboratively with peers and always has a team-first attitude</li><li>Ideally bilingual, fluent in English and Spanish, preferred but not required</li></ul>Benefits<ul><li>Health Care Plan (Medical, Dental &amp; Vision)</li><li>Retirement Plan (401k)</li><li>Life Insurance (Basic, Voluntary &amp; AD&amp;D)</li><li>Paid Time Off (Vacation, Sick &amp; Public Holidays)</li><li>Family Leave (Maternity, Paternity)</li><li>Short Term &amp; Long Term Disability</li><li>Training &amp; Development</li><li>Work From Home </li><li>Wellness Resources</li></ul>
