As a senior member of our top-notch and fast-paced engineering team, we are looking for a Senior Data Engineer who will help oversee ProducePay's vast and diverse data set, data integration, and data migration, including developing and maintaining a data warehouse and analytics environment, and writing scripts for data integration, scrubbing, and ingestion. This role will work closely and collaboratively with other engineers, as well as other functional teams to define requirements, mine and analyze data, integrate data from a variety of sources, including data scrubbing, and deploy high-quality data pipelines in support of the analytics needs of ProducePay. As a senior member of the engineering team, you will be expected to lead and mentor junior engineers on various assignments and help ensure projects are progressing in a timely manner. Responsibilities<ul><li>Developing solutions to improve company’s data management practices</li><li>Working with data architects to design and improve on data warehouses </li><li>Reviewing and analyzing data sets to identify patterns or trends that may have business implications</li><li>Developing and maintaining data mining and ingestion solutions</li><li>Assisting and providing feedback for new and existing data models, databases </li><li>Providing consultation on data management and integrity issues to other members of the company</li><li>Recommending changes to existing databases to improve performance or resolve issues</li></ul>Requirements<ul> <li>At least a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science</li> <li>Passionate about data and the power of data</li> <li>Willing to step outside of comfort and immediate responsibility zones to drive results and desired outcome</li> <li>Committed to making data a key focus for overall company strategy, growth, and product development</li> <li>Experience working with Snowflake and Postgres</li> <li>Excellent communication and presentation skills</li> <li>Highly organized with good time management skills</li> <li>Strong attention to detail</li> <li>Familiar with AWS cloud infrastructure and setup</li> <li>Familiar with cloud IaC concepts, a plus if experience with Pulumi or Terraform</li> <li>Exceptional problem-solving ability</li> <li>Ability to succeed in a collaborative work environment and work cross-functionally</li> </ul>Benefits<ul> <li>Major Medical Expenses (Includes Vision and Dental)</li> <li>Minor Medical Expenses</li> <li>Life Insurance</li> <li>A monthly stipend of $1,600 MXN for gasoline (or work-from-home)</li> <li>A monthly stipend of $800 MXN for cellphone expenses</li> </ul>All benefits as stipulated by Mexican law, including:<ul> <li>Social Security</li> <li>12 Days of vacation for the first year of service.
