This role combines technical design, testing, and systems integration with close collaboration across engineering functions and suppliers.<h3>What You’ll Do</h3><ul style=""><li>Support the creation and maintenance of BMS hardware design specifications for in-house projects.</li><li>Design digital and analogue electronics for high-voltage battery systems.</li><li>Develop BMS schematics, select components, and generate Bills of Materials (BOMs).</li><li>Conduct hands-on testing and debugging of hardware designs.</li><li>Support the integration of BMS hardware within the high-voltage electrical system.</li><li>Coordinate with external development partners and contractors when required.</li><li>Participate in aircraft integration and validation, supporting colleagues and contributing to design reviews for BMS hardware, including DFMEA, FTA, and FMECA activities.</li><li>Identify and track assignments and deliverables, providing regular assessments of progress and outcomes.</li></ul><h3>What You’ll Bring</h3><ul style=""><li>Bachelor’s degree in Applied Physics, Electrical, Electronics, or a related discipline.</li><li>Experience with Battery Management Systems and power electronics, including power converters.</li><li>Proven ability in schematic and PCB design, including digital and analogue circuit design, PCB layout, and design verification.</li><li>Understanding of EMC principles and PCB design rules for compliance with standards.</li><li>Experience with FMEA, DFMEA, and single-component failure analysis.</li><li>Experience with requirements management processes and tools.</li><li>Fluent in English, with strong written and verbal communication skills.Desirable</li><li>Familiarity with functional safety and certification standards, including <ul style=""><li>DO-254, ARP 4754, ARP 4761, and DO-160</li><li>ISO 26262</li><li>IEC 61508 or related standards</li></ul></li><li>High-voltage training and experience in advanced battery design and development </li><li>Experience in hardware development for aerospace or automotive applications </li><li>Knowledge of communication protocols such as CAN, Ethernet, SPI, I²C, and ARINC </li></ul>What can you expect from us?We're on a mission.
