<h3>Position Overview</h3>The Senior Car Detailer / Valet is responsible for overseeing and performing high-quality detailing and light maintenance of company and personal vehicles. This position plays a key role in ensuring vehicles are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and presentation. The role combines hands-on detailing expertise with coordination, leadership, and logistics support — including vehicle pick-ups, deliveries, and workflow management.The ideal candidate is a dependable professional with strong attention to detail, time management, and customer service skills, who can mentor junior staff and maintain operational efficiency.<h3>Key Responsibilities</h3>Detailing &amp; Vehicle Care<ul><li>Perform full-service interior and exterior detailing of vehicles (washing, waxing, vacuuming, upholstery cleaning, polishing, etc.).</li><li>Inspect vehicles for defects, damage, or required repairs and report findings to management.</li><li>Apply protective coatings, clean engine compartments, and maintain vehicle presentation to luxury or showroom standards.</li><li>Maintain inventory of cleaning products, supplies, and tools, ensuring proper use and storage.</li></ul>Fleet Coordination &amp; Vehicle Transport<ul><li>Safely transport vehicles between locations, service facilities, and job sites as assigned.</li><li>Manage vehicle scheduling for cleaning, service, and delivery.</li><li>Coordinate with team members and leadership to ensure vehicle readiness for customer or executive use.</li><li>Maintain vehicle logs, mileage records, and inspection checklists.</li></ul>Team Leadership &amp; Quality Control<ul><li>Provide training and guidance to junior detailers or runners.</li><li>Monitor quality of detailing work to ensure consistent excellence.</li><li>Help establish and maintain standard operating procedures for detailing and vehicle management.</li><li>Support management with workflow planning and daily operational priorities.</li></ul>Facility &amp; Equipment Maintenance<ul><li>Ensure detailing bays, tools, and equipment are clean, organized, and in working condition.</li><li>Identify and report equipment maintenance or replacement needs.</li><li>Assist in maintaining compliance with safety and environmental regulations.</li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><ul><li>10+ years of professional luxury vehicle detailing experience</li><li>Valid driver’s license with clean driving record; comfortable driving various vehicle types (sedans, SUVs, trucks).</li><li>Knowledge of detailing chemicals, compounds, and tools (buffers, extractors, vacuums, etc.).</li><li>Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.</li><li>Strong leadership and communication skills.</li><li>Ability to work independently and manage multiple vehicles under tight deadlines.</li><li>Flexibility to work occasional weekends or extended hours during peak periods.</li></ul><h3>Preferred Skills</h3><ul><li>Experience managing small teams or training others.</li><li>Familiarity with fleet management software or scheduling tools.</li><li>Light mechanical or maintenance experience.</li><li>CDL or ability to operate flatbed/box trucks (a plus).</li></ul>
