Position OverviewThe role requires project management experience and expertise on utility-class electrical infrastructure projects. The Project Manager will lead engineering, procurement, and construction of medium-voltage electrical distribution infrastructure projects up to $20 million in value. These projects include LV and MV overhead and underground distribution systems, substation interconnections, feeder extensions, system upgrades &amp; reliability improvements, and customer distribution service connections. The Project Manager’s primary objectives are to complete projects safely, on time, within budget, and in full compliance with specifications, permits, and contracts. In support of these objectives, the Project Manager will take ownership of the project schedule, cost and revenue forecasting, contract compliance, risk and opportunity assessment and ensure compliance with company safety and quality assurance standards. Responsibilities will also include complying with all stakeholder agreements such as electrical interconnection agreements, land agreements, permits and the terms and conditions of all purchase orders and contracts with vendors and contractors. Critical to project success will be the procurement of engineering and construction services and equipment and material to the required specifications and in support of the project schedule. The role requires strong technical understanding and field-based project management experience in utility-class distribution systems, with the ability to coordinate across engineering, construction, and client teams.  The successful candidate will work on a cross functional team interfacing with project development, engineering, project controls and procurement, financial planning, accounting, and legal.   Responsibilities:<ul><li>Lead and manage all aspects of project execution after project development through project completion, commissioning, and turnover to customer.</li><li>Oversee construction and commissioning of overhead and underground distribution systems, feeders, and related electrical infrastructure.</li><li>Manage and be accountable for projects controls including project schedules, cost, and revenue forecasts.</li><li>Produce reports and analysis for customer and internal purposes as required.</li><li>Work with HSE Manager to provide a safe working environment for employees and contractors.</li><li>Manage the quality of the project through quality assurance programs.</li><li>Coordinate with utilities, municipalities, and other authorities for permitting, interconnection, and compliance.</li><li>Work with procurement team and engineering companies in the procurement of engineering services, consultants, contractors, equipment, and material suppliers.</li><li>Manage contract obligations in key project documents and negotiate and agree change orders with customers and contractors.</li><li>Ensure that parties are compliant with terms and conditions of contracts and agreements to minimize risk.</li><li>Resolve project issues and conflicts effectively and ensure that change is documented.</li><li>Lead project meetings with internal and external stakeholders.</li><li>Acquire required permits if not already obtained during the project development phase and ensure compliance as required.</li><li>Coordinate additional resources or outside consultants/contractors required in support of project management.</li><li>Apply critical thinking needed to communicate and influence employees at all levels regarding project risks, opportunities, and recommended action. </li></ul>Requirements  Skills and Qualifications<ul><li>Minimum 3 years of project management experience on utility-class electrical infrastructure, with a focus on electric utility distribution, EPC, or related infrastructure projects.</li><li>Bachelor’s degree, preferably in electrical engineering, civil engineering, project/construction management. </li><li>Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.</li><li>Knowledge of medium-voltage distribution systems (4kV–35kV) and associated construction methods.</li><li>Experience coordinating with electric utilities on design standards, interconnection requirements, and construction approvals.</li><li>Excellent oral and written communication skills.</li><li>Self-starter, very self-reliant and capable of operating with minimum supervision.</li><li>Ability to work within a cross-functional team environment for project development and execution.</li><li>Ability to manage client expectations within the context of project execution.</li><li>Ability to effectively address and either manage or participate in the resolution of conflicts with clients or other project stakeholders which may arise throughout the course of project execution. </li><li>Willingness and ability to travel as required to successfully manage projects.</li><li>Experienced in using Microsoft Office products, Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point.</li><li>Ability to use project management software such as Procore and NetSuite.</li><li>Experienced at using project scheduling software such as Microsoft Project or Oracle P6.</li><li>Experienced at managing multiple projects simultaneously.</li></ul> The Project Manager will be expected to travel up to 25% of the time to other Priority Power offices, customer meetings, and site visits.  Why Choose Priority Power?
