Travel may be required up to 100% of the time.</li><li>Obtaining and Maintaining Nuclear unescorted access is required.</li><li>Obtaining a DOT medical card is required.</li><li>The Specialty Services I/E Group consist of a Breaker Refurbishment Team, Breaker/Switchgear Field Teams, Generator Breaker and Isolated Phase Bus Teams, Testing Teams and Instrumentation-Control-Electrical Teams based in the Carolinas.</li><li>This posting will place successful candidates on the Switchgear/Doble Team within the Specialty Services Group.  </li><li>As directed, duties performed may include but are not limited to:</li><li>Perform assigned maintenance, repair and testing of various switchgear/load centers, breakers and transformers in a safe, reliable, economical and environmentally sound manner.</li><li>Perform assigned maintenance activities independently or work within a team/group setting as needed.</li><li>Read and interpret basic Electrical drawings, work orders and/or plans.</li><li>Assist in the control of quality and productivity.</li><li>Communicate effectively with other maintenance personnel at all levels by keeping co-workers and leadership apprised of work progress and difficulties as they arise.</li><li>Understand and follow all applicable safety standards.</li><li>Use human performance tools and techniques.</li><li>Maintain good housekeeping standards on a continual basis and ensure no reportable incidents regarding housekeeping occur with the area of responsibility.</li><li>Develop proficiency in the use of calibration equipment &amp; specialty tooling.</li><li>Gain general knowledge of equipment maintenance procedures, instruction manuals, drawings, and codes.</li><li>Develop proficiency in the use of company provided computers and associated software programs such as: Maximo, CAS, Tags Pro, Esoms, Nantel, &amp; other associated software programs necessary to complete Nuclear &amp; Regulated &amp; Renewable Energy tasks</li></ul>Basic Qualifications:<ul><li>High School Diploma / GED</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications<ul><li>One year closely related experience on breaker maintenance.</li><li>Experience with troubleshooting electrical/instrumentation equipment</li><li>Experience reading electrical diagrams, schematics, and one-line drawings</li><li>Experience utilizing electrical/instrumentation test equipment</li><li>Experience with lock out tag out of electrical equipment</li><li>Currently have Nuclear Access</li></ul>Specific Requirements<ul><li>Valid Driver’s License</li><li>Completion of the Power Plant Maintenance Selection System (MASS) aptitude testing</li><li>Obtain and maintain unescorted nuclear access</li><li>Physical exertion applicable to power plant maintenance such as standing; lifting, up to 50 lbs; walking; stooping; climbing ladders and stairs; working long hours.</li><li>Exposure to uneven and inclined walking/working surfaces; work at heights; work from scaffolds and platforms; work in confined spaces; work in tight areas.</li></ul>Working Conditions<ul><li>Field Mobility Classification – Work will be performed in various field locations, as needed, after the onboarding period. However, field employees are required to live within a reasonable daily commute to their assigned work location.</li><li>Typical conditions associated with a shop environment.</li><li>Operation of vehicles and mobile equipment required.</li></ul>Working Hours and Travel<ul><li>Schedules may vary as project assignments and work load dictate.
