This position is required to work on-site 5 days a week.</p></div><h2><strong>What we do: </strong></h2><p>The Staff Accountant – Operational Accounting plays a vital role in supporting the day-to-day accounting operations of Supernal LLC. This position is responsible for assisting with accounts payable processing, fixed asset accounting, lease accounting under IFRS 16, and payroll-related journal entries. The Staff Accountant ensures that all financial transactions are accurately recorded, properly supported, and compliant with company policies and IFRS requirements. The role collaborates closely with the Senior Accountant – Operational Accounting, the Accounting Manager, and cross-functional teams such as Procurement, Supply Chain, and HR to ensure timely and efficient financial operations in a dynamic R&amp;D environment.</p><h2><strong>What you can do:</strong></h2><p>Accounts Payable &amp; Expense Accounting</p><ul><li>Assist in daily accounts payable processing and invoice validation in SAP S/4HANA.</li><li>Match purchase orders, receipts, and invoices to identify discrepancies and escalate issues promptly.</li><li>Support vendor statement reconciliations and prepare AP related journal entries and accruals.</li><li>Help review employee expense reports and credit card transactions to ensure compliance with company policy.</li><li>Support generating daily and internally requested AP reports</li></ul><p>Fixed Asset Accounting</p><ul><li>Assist in recording new asset acquisitions, disposals, and transfers in the fixed asset subledger.</li><li>Support monthly depreciation runs and verify system generated depreciation postings.</li><li>Help maintain detailed supporting schedules for capital expenditures and asset classification.</li><li>Participate in periodic fixed asset observations and reconcile results with accounting records.</li></ul><p>Lease Accounting (IFRS 16)</p><ul><li>Assist in maintaining the lease accounting schedule and inputting lease data into the ERP system.</li><li>Prepare basic journal entries for right-of-use assets, lease liabilities, interest expenses, and amortization.</li><li>Support reconciliation of lease related accounts and assist with reporting schedules.</li></ul><p>Payroll &amp; General Accounting</p><ul><li>Support the preparation of recurring payroll-related journal entries, including payroll accruals, 401(k) accruals, and benefits expenses.</li><li>Reconcile payroll clearing and related balance sheet accounts.</li><li>Support preparation of month-end close schedules and ensure completeness of documentation.</li><li>Maintain general ledger accuracy through timely posting and reconciliation of transactions.</li></ul><p>ERP System &amp; Process Improvement</p><ul><li>Support ERP integration and testing activities related to AP, fixed assets, and other accounting related to expenses.</li><li>Identify opportunities to streamline operational accounting processes and improve efficiency.</li><li>Assist in implementing standardized procedures and documentation for recurring accounting tasks.</li></ul><p>Audit &amp; Compliance</p><ul><li>Prepare and organize supporting documentation for external audits and internal reviews.</li><li>Assist in responding to auditor requests related to operational accounting areas.</li><li>Maintain compliance with internal control standards and company accounting policies.</li><li>Undertake domestic and/or international travel up to 10% as required </li><li>Other duties as assigned</li></ul><p> </p><h2><strong>What you can contribute:</strong></h2><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required</li><li>CPA eligibility or progress preferred</li><li>A minimum of 2 (two) years of accounting experience and exposure to IFRS or R&amp;D/manufacturing industry preferred</li><li>Experience with ERP systems (SAP S/4HANA preferred)</li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general ledger systems</li></ul><h2><strong>You may also be able to contribute:</strong></h2><ul><li>Attention to Detail and Accuracy</li><li>Ownership and Accountability</li><li>Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills</li><li>Teamwork and Collaboration</li><li>Communication and Professionalism</li></ul><p> </p><div><div><div><p>Base pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge and location.
