This role will support both internal and external stakeholders, delivering insights that guide company strategy, inform Board members, and engage prospective investors.<h3>Job Overview</h3>The FP&amp;A Manager will develop and own financial models used for forecasting and strategic planning. The ideal candidate combines exceptional modeling skills with a deep understanding of how to translate business activities into numbers that paint a clear picture of business value for external parties. Prior experience in deep tech, hardware, or similarly capital-intensive industries is highly valued.<h3>Responsibilities</h3><ul style=""><li>Build, maintain, and enhance robust financial models to support the acquisition of equity and debt</li><li>Prepare external-facing financial materials, including fundraising support, and prospective investor analyses </li><li>Partner with leadership to adapt business activities into financial models to address multiple scenarios </li><li>Analyze business performance, highlight key trends, and provide actionable recommendations </li><li>Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Operations, and Business teams to align financial forecasts with company goals </li><li>Support ad hoc analysis to inform strategic initiatives and growth opportunities </li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><ul style=""><li>Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field (MBA or advanced degree a plus) </li><li>5+ years of experience in forecasting, financial reporting, and/or accounting </li><li>Demonstrated expertise in financial modeling, with advanced Excel and/or financial modeling tool proficiency </li><li>Strong communication skills and ability to present financial insights to executives and investors </li><li>Experience in deep tech, hardware, or manufacturing environments preferred </li><li>Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable operating in fast-paced, ambiguous environments </li></ul><h3>Preferred Skills</h3><ul style=""><li>Familiarity with BI tools (e.g., PowerBI, Tableau, or similar) </li><li>Knowledge of capital-intensive business models (manufacturing, hardware, or infrastructure) </li><li>Prior experience supporting fundraising and/or projects with large capital deployment</li><li>Start Up experience (or other fast paced environment)</li></ul><h2>Benefits:</h2><ul style=""><li>Industry-competitive salary</li><li>Equity plan</li><li>6% employer 401k matching</li><li>Generous paid time off (including sick leave, vacation, paid family leave)</li><li>Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance</li></ul>Actual base salary offered will be determined by: experience, skills, and work location.
